Unrivaled Soldier in the City

Chapter 641 Bizarre Changes

Chapter 641 Bizarre Changes

Colding, who had been staring intently at Kulad, breathed a sigh of relief. Since neither he nor Kulad had been able to retrieve the hand, there had to be a problem with it. But what could it be? Colding couldn’t figure it out.

"Damn it, what the hell is going on!" Kulad cursed from where he had fallen. His bloodshot eyes revealed his struggle to accept this outcome.

"Who knows what’s going on, Kulad? Weren’t you just mocking me? Go on, mock me now," Colding said with a cold laugh.

Upon hearing this, Kulad’s face turned grim. With a chilling glare, he said, "Colding, don’t be so smug. Our priority is to figure out how to get Cain’s left hand. This bickering is pointless."

Colding fell silent. Kulad was right; their primary mission was to obtain Cain’s left hand. Everything else was secondary.

After a moment of thought, Colding asked flatly, "Kulad, any ideas?"

"No. We’ll just have to have our people try one by one. Whether anyone succeeds will come down to luck," Kulad replied, his expression dark.

"Alright, then they’ll try one by one," Colding nodded. With that, he turned his gaze to Amanda. "Amanda, you go first."

Amanda nodded, her heart ablaze with eagerness. She approached the statue and reached out to touch the left hand.

As expected, a burst of light erupted from the hand and sent Amanda flying. Clearly, she too had failed.

"Gallio, you go try," Kulad said next.

Gallio nodded and moved toward the statue, reaching for the hand held in its palm. An instant later, a repelling force erupted, and Gallio was thrown back just like the others.

Seeing Gallio fail as well, Kulad frowned.

After that, the members of the Demon Banquet Alliance and the Secret Alliance all took turns, each one trying to claim the prize. It was completely useless. Cain’s left hand was stubbornly unresponsive, repelling anyone who dared to touch it. Even after everyone from both alliances had tried, no one was able to obtain it.

Seeing this, both Kulad’s and Colding’s expressions became incredibly grim. Their eyes burned with rage, and their hearts seethed with frustration.

"Damn it, how the hell do we get this thing?!" Colding shouted in anger. The feeling was infuriating. The legendary left hand of Cain was right in front of them, yet all they could do was watch, unable to even touch it. It was utterly maddening.

Listening to Colding’s curses, Kulad also grew irritable, but he was completely out of ideas. In an instant, the two factions were at a standoff. No one knew what to do, yet no one was willing to leave, creating a tense and frustrating atmosphere.

At that moment, Colding’s figure suddenly vanished, rushing toward the Demon Banquet Alliance.

"Not good! Damn it, Colding, you dare launch a sneak attack!" Kulad roared, the murderous intent in his blood-red pupils surging. The next moment, he shot forward, trying to intercept Colding.

But Colding’s surprise attack was too fast. Kulad was a step too slow. A Lord from the Demon Banquet Alliance was instantly obliterated by Colding’s strike. Blood sprayed through the air as the corpse crumpled to the ground.

Though a Lord’s power was considerable, the gap between him and an Elder like Colding was immense. Compounded by the sneak attack, the Lord’s body was shattered in an instant.

At the same time, Colding roared, "Attack! Let’s take them down first!"

The frustrated Colding could no longer hold back. His attack wasn’t purely impulsive. He was wary of the experts from the ancient eastern nation. But we’re deep underground, an unknown distance from the surface. If we fight now, they probably won’t even notice. That’s why he decided to strike.

"Colding, you will die for this!" Kulad roared furiously, his body moving swiftly to block Colding’s path.

"I’ll die? Can *you* kill me?" Colding yelled back, his blood-red pupils swelling with murderous intent as he threw a punch at Kulad.

Seeing this, Kulad also struck out in a rage. The two clashed fiercely, unleashing a terrifying explosion of power. Simultaneously, the Blood Clan members from the Demon Banquet Alliance and the Secret Alliance erupted into a vicious battle, plunging the chamber into chaos.

Meanwhile, Chen Anhun, Gu Feng, Lin Kuang, and the others were watching from the shadows, pleased to see the two factions fighting among themselves. To them, they were all just members of the Blood Clan. The more who died, the better. They couldn’t have cared less.

"When they’ve both suffered heavy losses, that will be our moment to strike," Chen Anhun said via Sound Transmission, his voice reaching everyone in his group.

The others nodded in agreement, waiting for the right moment to act.

Inside the chamber, the Blood Clan members continued to fall. As they died, their blood, seemingly drawn by some unseen force, flowed from their bodies into channels carved into the ground. These uneven grooves led directly to the base of Cain’s statue. Lost in the heat of battle, no one noticed this development.

As more and more of them died, the volume of blood on the ground increased, all of it pouring toward the area beneath the statue. The blood eventually flowed up and converged on the hand resting in the statue’s palm.

The crimson liquid enveloped the hand, and its faint fluorescence was instantly replaced by a blood-red light that filled the entire chamber.

Witnessing this, everyone was momentarily stunned, and the fighting came to a halt. By now, Kulad’s side had only seven members remaining; five had been killed. The Secret Alliance, however, had nine members left, still holding the numerical advantage.

The two sides pulled back to a safe distance, and everyone looked up at the hand cradled in the statue’s palm.

What’s happening? Colding wondered, his gaze filled with confusion.

"Esteemed Elder Colding, look at your feet!" Amanda suddenly called out, her expression a mixture of bewilderment and shock.

Colding immediately looked down and saw the streaks left by the flowing blood. All this blood flowed into the statue? Could the change in the hand be caused by this blood? he wondered, a hint of unease appearing in his blood-red eyes.
