Chapter 620: The Blood Clan Appears

"My friend, it’s very impolite to interrupt people when they’re in the middle of something like this," Lin Kuang said with a smile, glancing back at Adolf.

At that moment, Britney snapped out of her daze. Her beautiful face was flushed a charming red, and the glimmer in her jade-green eyes was so captivating it would be difficult for any man to resist her.

"Britney, we’ll continue this later. We have an annoying guest," Lin Kuang said with a grin, climbing off her and pulling her into his arms.

Since Britney was using him, he might as well get something out of it. Why let her use him for free? Lin Kuang wasn’t a fool.

Britney understood his intentions. She felt a little shy but not particularly angry. To play along, she leaned against his shoulder and wrapped her arms tightly around his, putting on the perfect air of a maiden completely smitten with her man.

Seeing this from the doorway, Adolf’s face turned crimson with rage. He never imagined the woman he’d chosen would be with another man! This was a stain on his dignity!

"Britney! And you! You’re both going to die!" Adolf roared furiously, his eyes brimming with murderous intent. A hint of blood-red surfaced in his pupils, making him look terrifying.

Lin Kuang frowned. The man exuded an aura of Darkness and the stench of blood—a stench that didn’t seem human. His Perception instantly flared to its maximum, his star-like pupils fixing on Adolf as if to pierce right through his body.

Adolf felt as if he were standing completely naked before Lin Kuang, a deeply unsettling sensation. He grew extremely wary; he’d only ever felt this way in the presence of the Dukes of his clan. For Lin Kuang to evoke such a feeling... there was no doubt his strength was on par with that of a Duke! Of course, that was just a comparison. A real battle would reveal who was truly stronger.

"Hmph! Adolf, are you trying to start a war between our two clans? The Tuobingduo Clan does not fear your Fanzhuo Clan!" Britney snapped, her expression grim. A trace of blood-red also appeared in her green eyes.

"Hmph. The insignificant Tuobingduo Clan? Do you really think our great Fanzhuo Clan can’t handle you?" Adolf sneered.

"So what? Don’t you forget, the Holy War is about to begin!" Britney retorted, her beautiful eyes glinting with killing intent.

At her words, Adolf’s cold expression faltered. Indeed, the Holy War was approaching. Eliminating the Tuobingduo Clan now would be a great disadvantage to the Secret Alliance. Although the Fanzhuo Clan was the leader of the Secret Alliance, even they dared not act rashly with an event as big as the Holy War looming.

"Ah, so that’s it. No wonder you dared to resist me. You’ve planned this all along, haven’t you, Britney? You’re quite the schemer!" Adolf said coldly, staring at her.

Listening to their exchange and having already seen through Adolf, Lin Kuang finally understood. They were legendary Vampires, members of the Blood Clan! No wonder the man carried such a strong scent of blood and an aura of Darkness. But what were the Blood Clan doing in Hua Country? This wasn’t a place they were supposed to come to. He knew that for these Vampires, the ancient East was a forbidden land, the last place they would ever want to visit. Yet here they were. There was definitely something fishy going on.

"That’s right! That’s exactly what I was thinking!" Britney declared. "Why should I let you possess me? I long for a human life! I will never, ever marry you, or any other Vampire!" Though her expression was strained, she spoke with absolute determination.

At her words, Adolf’s face contorted again, his blood-red pupils flaring with killing intent. "Fine! Fine! Fine! Britney, don’t forget you’re the Saintess of the Tuobingduo Clan. Even if I make you my woman, I will still possess your body!"

"In your dreams! I’ll never give my body to you!" Britney retorted.

Lin Kuang listened quietly from the side, putting the pieces together. This Adolf was from the Fanzhuo Clan, which seemed to hold a high status within the Blood Clan. Britney, on the other hand, was from the Tuobingduo Clan, another part of the Blood Clan. He didn’t know anything about these two clans, but it didn’t matter. All he needed to know was that they were both Vampires.

"Tsk, tsk. Vampires, how interesting," Lin Kuang suddenly said. "I’m surprised you have the guts to come to the East. You must have a death wish." As he spoke, his voice turned cold, his gaze sharp with murderous intent.

Adolf trembled under Lin Kuang’s chilling gaze as a flicker of fear ignited in his heart.

"Damn Easterner! You’re the one with the death wish, not me!" Adolf shot back, his own eyes filled with killing intent. Whether Britney wanted to be his woman or not was irrelevant. Lin Kuang had defiled her, and that was a humiliation he could not tolerate!

"Kill me? I’m afraid you’re not qualified," Lin Kuang said icily, striding toward Adolf. This guy annoys me, so he has to die. Besides, he’s a Vampire.

Watching Lin Kuang advance on him step-by-step, Adolf’s expression changed.

"Duke Cros, show yourself!" Adolf called out, knowing full well he was no match for Lin Kuang.

The moment Adolf spoke, Lin Kuang felt a wave of intense danger, his gaze locking onto the space behind Adolf. Just then, a man appeared there. He didn’t look old, perhaps in his forties. Dressed all in black, his blood-red eyes fixed on Lin Kuang, as if trying to see right through him.

"A Duke, huh? His power is quite impressive," Lin Kuang remarked indifferently.

He could clearly sense that this Blood Clan Duke’s strength was no less than his own, but he felt no fear. With his Yin Yang Physique, he could freely absorb the pure Force of Nature from the air to replenish his power.

"Not bad," Cros said with a smile, looking at Lin Kuang. "I didn’t expect to encounter such a powerful human so soon after arriving. The East truly is a magical place."
