Chapter 61 The Little Wizards
Chapter 61 The Little Wizards
It was Tonks. She asked curiously, "Who's Ellie? I could hear Pepper yelling from far away."
"Shut up, Pepper." Lucas stuffed a piece of bread into Pepper's mouth. "Ellie's a good friend of mine. She'll be coming to the Leaky Cauldron soon, I'll introduce you two then. Weren't you questioned at the Auror's office today? How did it go?"
It turned out that Tonks had received a message early this morning, asking her to go to the Auror's office at the Ministry of Magic to ask her more questions about the Gringotts kidnappers. Tonks was back before noon, much faster than expected.
When this was mentioned, Tonks' eyes immediately lit up.
"Oh Lucas, the Auror office is so cool. You know, it's a huge office, divided into many small cubicles, with wanted posters of dark wizards plastered on the walls, and the Aurors shouting as they exchange information and analyze files... It's so impressive! I have to be one of them!"
"And you'd never guess who I ran into this time!" she said mysteriously, without lowering her voice at all, "The legendary Auror, Alastor Moody!"
Tom, who was listening to the conversation, was taken aback: "Mad-Eye Moody? Wasn't he retired?"
Tonks exclaimed excitedly, "Oh, yes! He'd been retired for years, but this dark wizard's elusive nature was really troublesome, so Scrimgeour brought him back as a consultant. Lucas, you should really see his magic eyes and that aura, wow! He's my idol!"
Lucas laughed: "Then why don't you take this opportunity to become his apprentice? Didn't you want to find someone to guide you?"
It was meant as a joke, but Tonks jumped up and his hair turned bright red.
"How did you know!" Tonks grinned from ear to ear. "I pulled out my NEWT report card, but he didn't even look at it, he just stared at me with that devilish eye. I thought I had no chance, but then he decided to give me a chance!"
"Haha, Mr. Moody said he'll be testing me soon, and if I pass, he'll take me on as a student and teach me to become an Auror!"
Lucas was taken aback, but then overjoyed: "Congratulations, Tonks, you'll soon have your wish fulfilled!"
Tonks chuckled, then clasped his hands together in a pleading gesture: "But I still need to pass Mr. Moody's test. Anyway, I need to study hard these days. Lucas, please take care of my exam nutrition meals!"
"In return, I will impart all the knowledge I have acquired throughout my life!"
At this moment, Pepper finally broke free of the dry bread stuck in its mouth. Just as it was about to make a sound, Lucas grabbed its beak again.
"no problem!"
"Pepper, let's go, continue our kitchen training. Make sure you remember the names of today's spices."
......
afternoon.
A huge parasol was spread out, and the "No. 77" sign under the umbrella shone brightly and swayed in the wind, making a crisp sound.
Hannah and a group of children cheered enthusiastically, and the wizards watching also applauded. Someone shouted, "Welcome back, Lucas!"
The applause and cheers grew even louder as Lucas, wearing an apron, chef's hat, and gloves, stood behind his cart and waved to the crowd.
Lucas's food stall has reopened after some preparation!
With a muffled thud, smoke billowed up, and photographer Bozo waved to Lucas from behind his camera. The Daily Prophet, always quick to find news, was planning a story about Lucas reopening his stall. However, Rita Skeeter wasn't there this time; other reporters conducted a brief interview instead.
When the reporter left, a long queue had formed in front of the stall, almost blocking the street.
Some of the customers had previously tried Lucas's "Spanish churros," "strawberry mint soup," and "cucumber yogurt cold soup," and couldn't forget the deliciousness, so they came back to enjoy them again.
Many other wizards became familiar with Lucas's deeds after several reports in the Daily Prophet. They came to support him with admiration and praise, or out of curiosity, they wanted to taste the cooking skills of this genius chef praised by Skeeter and see if he lived up to the reputation.
Hannah and her friends were at the front of the line.
The children had initially wanted to try the stall at Hannah's invitation, but the Gringotts robbery happened, so they had to cancel. Now that they've reunited, they're even more excited thanks to Hannah's enthusiastic and vivid recommendation.
Lucas changed the menu when he reopened his stall.
In fact, since Minister Fudge awarded himself a bonus of two hundred Galleons, he's not short of money now. Continuing to set up his stall is to further test his culinary skills, understand the tastes of wizards in the magical world, and meet more wizards, preparing for his culinary adventures.
Of course, most importantly, Lucas loved it all.
He was delighted as the food took shape in his hands, and seeing the satisfied expressions on the guests' faces filled him with immense happiness.
"Crispy fried halo cheese sticks, elderflower lime soda, strawberry basil smoothie!" Susan Borns read the menu word by word, her eyes shining with delight. "Wow! I've never tried any of these before, and I want to try them all!"
Hannah and Susan have known each other since childhood, and now she looked proudly at her best friend: "See? I was absolutely right. Try it, you'll be completely won over!"
Ernie McMillan tasted the cheese sticks. After a soft crunch, the salty and savory milky flavor filled his mouth. His eyes lit up, and he devoured several large sticks in one go. "Merlin! It's so delicious! Lucas, your cooking skills are truly amazing. I didn't quite believe it when Hannah told me! Now I'm completely convinced."
Zacharys Smith took a big gulp of cheese stick, then downed a refreshing elderflower lime soda, its floral notes sweet and tangy, before letting out a satisfied burp: "That's amazing, Lucas! Your cooking is way better than our house-elf's!"
Hannah frowned. "Zakaris! How can you compare Lucas to a house-elves!"
Zacharias snapped out of his daze and quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, Lucas, I didn't mean it that way..."
Lucas waved his hand, indicating that he didn't care. In fact, he didn't quite understand what a house-elf was. Was it a lowly servant?
He looked at the noisy group of children and smiled: "Thank you for your kind words, my guests."
Hannah brought a group of friends with impressive backgrounds.
Susan Bornes, Ernie McMillan, and Zacharys Smith are all new generation members of the "Holy Twenty-Eight"!
