Chapter 64 Horcruxes, Lockhart
Chapter 64 Horcruxes, Lockhart
Landric experimented thousands of times and selected several of the most powerful combinations.
The room was riddled with holes from the bombing; if it weren't for the Room of Requirement's ability to repair it at any time, it would have been a complete ruin long ago.
With a slight sigh, Landric stood up, only to feel his vision go black for five seconds before the screen went black and restarted.
He's not the kind of person who works hard when provoked; if someone provokes him again, he might actually jump off a building.
Landric couldn't stand the constant high-intensity mental strain.
Life should be a balance between work and rest, and between work and rest.
Thinking back to how Potte found the Horcrux in the original story.
...Wait, why is he shouting "Bote" now?
Focus again, give me a place to hide something.
The environment before him changed, and he found himself in a room filled with miscellaneous goods. Landric immediately spotted the glittering crown.
Isn't this a bit hasty? But it does make things convenient for him.
Landric turned the necklace around his neck, and the crown on his hand vanished instantly; the Philosopher's Stone was hidden in the same way.
Since discovering that the necklace was a magical alchemical object that could store things, Landric has kept almost all his important possessions here.
Without its own soul imprint, no one can open it, not even someone as powerful as Dumbledore.
Today's harvest: the experiment is progressing well, and a Horcrux has been discovered.
Satisfied, Landric left the Room of Requirement and, without planning to return to his dormitory, continued upstairs and found a terrace.
Since being forced to return without his blankets last time, Landric has learned his lesson and now keeps his only three blankets in his personal storage space.
He only liked these three small quilts, which were made by Tana.
He lay down on the terrace with his little blanket, genuinely unhappy about feeding on mosquitoes, but he was just too weak!
Basking in the moonlight helps increase magic power, and at an extremely rapid rate.
He didn't do it before because he felt it was unnecessary; at worst, he would die, and if he didn't die, he would live.
A good night's sleep wiped away all the fatigue of the day.
Draco found his brother in the middle of the night.
Landric was fast asleep on the small terrace when Draco stopped, panting.
I saw Rand curled up in bed, breathing steadily, with moonlight streaming across his face.
Draco instinctively steadied his breathing, stood there for a long time, then slowly moved over, bent down, and took a deep breath against his neck.
The madness that had been suppressed in his eyes was finally released.
Draco's eyes revealed a strange calmness as his pale fingers rubbed the soft fabric beneath him, ultimately refraining from going too far.
"How wonderful it would be if there were only the two of us and our families in the world."
Draco stood beside Landric, who was lying asleep, while Draco stood watching him.
The first rays of dawn have appeared.
To prevent oversleeping, Landric set up an automatic wake-up function on his blanket.
He sat up with a blank stare, and it took a long time for his eyes to gradually focus.
With just one glance, Landric's pupils contracted sharply.
Draco? Him? When did he arrive?
Draco moved his numb legs, and after they adjusted, he approached Rand, his voice sweet and cloying, "Brother, we have that good-for-nothing professor's class today, let's go."
Landric replied nonchalantly, "Okay, let's go back to the dorm and pack up."
This person obediently followed closely behind Landric.
The heat source beside him made Landric, who had just woken up, feel uncomfortable, so magic flowed between the two, creating a gap between them.
Draco felt as if misfortune was choking him.
They gradually slowed their pace, allowing Rand to leave as he wished.
I followed them all the way to their dormitory, and then to their classroom.
As soon as I entered the classroom, I spotted Harry Potter—being posed for a photo by Corvi, and having that bumbling professor put his arm around his shoulder.
Draco, who was still feeling gloomy and depressed, immediately lost his slump upon seeing his nemesis.
Draco: I wish I knew a clever Vanishing Charm right now!
Landric nodded to himself. Sure enough, as long as the Savior and Little Dragon were truly in love, all the talk of love and hate was just a little trick of lovers.
Harry spotted Landric the instant the two entered, and immediately slapped the hand off his shoulder.
Don't get involved, what if people misunderstand?
Gilderoy Lockhart awkwardly touched the back of his hand, his eyes lighting up when he saw Landric, and then he quickly followed Harry.
"Here's a piece of advice, Harry. I just covered for you in front of Corvy. As long as he only photographs the two of us, you won't stand out too much!"
Harry really wanted to roll his eyes at him.
Landric looked at the three people in front of him who were like peacocks about to spread their tails, and decisively looked away.
"Listen to me, Harry, at this stage of your life, sending out autographed photos is a unwise choice. It makes you seem a bit arrogant. You'll understand when you get to my age and need to carry a stack of photos wherever you go."
Harry, thoroughly annoyed, saw Rand about to leave because of the noisy frog beside him and said coldly, "Can you shut up now?"
They're all the same kind of people. Do you really think he can't see what Gilderoy Lockhart is up to?
Draco gave the two a mocking smile, calling them two idiots.
Landric had no interest in getting involved in their undercurrents, his eyes constantly searching for Hermione.
Hermione didn't disappoint Rand either, "Hey, Rand, you're here early!"
Landric tilted his head, looking at the noisy crowd in the classroom, feeling as if a spinning circle was about to appear on his head.
"Actually, there's no need to overpraise it."
"That's different. In my heart, you're the first one," Hermione said with a determined look in her eyes, wanting to join the party.
The sudden sweet talk caught Landric off guard, successfully stopping the three people who were exchanging sharp glances at each other from their competitive spirit.
Draco had even started to imagine how to make Hermione disappear without a trace outside of school.
Draco's gaze was too sinister, so Rand stood in front of Hermione with his back turned to shield her.
This made him lower his gaze.
Hermione gave Landric a reassuring smile.
It's okay, if it's for real, he won't dare.
Landric raised an eyebrow. How do you know he wouldn't dare?
Hermione didn't speak, glanced at Rand, and then looked away.
The school bell rang, bringing this grand spectacle to a close, leaving the onlookers somewhat disinterested.
Lockhart, on the other hand, got excited; it was his home turf now.
Lockhart cleared his throat loudly, silencing everyone.
He turned around, snatched "Walking with Trolls" from Neville's hand, held it up, and began his circus performance.
