Chapter 21 The Chitauri Invasion - Part 2
Chapter 21 The Chitauri Invasion - Part 2
Manhattan was pitch black at night, with explosions ringing out continuously, and screams and howls accompanied by fleeting flashes of fire.
Mary Norris crept cautiously forward in the shadows of the narrow street, a crowbar slung over her shoulder and a pistol gripped tightly in her hands.
Today is the fourth day since Manhattan fell, and she and her child have not eaten for two days.
She could bear it, but her six-year-old daughter, Audrey, was crying from hunger, and she had no choice but to risk going out to find food.
Many buildings along the street were destroyed, cars were scattered on the road, and bloodstains appeared on the ground at intervals.
She carefully examined the destroyed buildings and the cars that could be opened, but found nothing; it seemed that these places had been ransacked.
Indeed, the change happened very suddenly, and no one was prepared. There was no way she was the only one who risked her life to search for food.
Realizing this, Mary Norris became even more vigilant.
She dared not go into those intact buildings; she didn't know if anyone was inside. If she rashly barged in, she might become someone's toy or food.
She has children to take care of; she can't take the risk.
As she continued searching forward, she encountered a stranger.
Both were on high alert, and because they were both carrying guns, they quickly distanced themselves from each other while remaining wary of one another.
Mary Norris took a deep breath, silently encouraging herself, and then walked forward.
Soon, she encountered other people, all carrying guns. They met silently and kept their distance from each other.
Everyone's goal is to find food, and no one wants to cause conflict. As soon as gunshots are fired, the monsters roaming in the sky will arrive quickly, everyone will be killed, and then the corpses will be picked up by others.
More than two hours later, she only found a 100g bag of cookies. This was far too little food, but she still decided to take the cookies home.
Half an hour later, she returned to her cheap apartment.
After closing the door, she called out in a low voice, "Audrey, Mommy's back! Come see what Mommy found!"
No one answered, and she searched every corner of the room but could not find her six-year-old daughter, Audrey.
When she discovered that the remaining half-bucket of bottled water in her home was also missing, she felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave.
She rushed out of her house like a madwoman, pounding on the doors of her neighbors' houses, begging them to give her back her daughter.
All she received in response were curses and denials; no one opened the door for her to come in and check.
A dozen minutes later, Mary Norris, her hand broken and her voice hoarse from shouting, stumbled to the rooftop in despair.
boom!
boom!
boom!
boom!
boom!
Mary Norris mechanically fired her gun into the air. The sound carried far and wide, causing an uproar in all the nearby apartment buildings. Many people cursed as they rushed out of their homes and ran into the distance.
Click. The bullets were all gone. Mary Norris, her heart already dead, continued to pull the trigger.
A roar came from the sky, and five flying vehicles flew over. Mary Norris pointed her gun at them, and then a laser pierced her chest.
Mary Norris crashed onto the rooftop, and with all her might, she slowly raised her right hand and pointed the pistol at the five flying vehicles once more.
Laser beams pierced her through the air, followed by missiles raining down on all the buildings. The five flying vehicles also dispersed and began slaughtering those fleeing on the ground...
A dozen minutes later, the area was reduced to ruins, and the five flying vehicles flew away.
Another ten minutes or so later, a group of people arrived. They gripped their pistols, wary of each other, and scavenged anything edible...
......
"Hurry, hurry, hurry up!"
Shouted at by several members of the Wolf Gang armed with rifles, Keller and more than thirty teenagers crawled out of the sewers and ran toward a museum.
The museum doors were blown open, and he and his companions ran to the painting exhibition area. He smashed a glass display case with an axe, took out the ink painting from the East, rolled it up haphazardly, turned around and ran towards the sewer that came out, threw the painting down, and ran back to the museum.
There are people specifically assigned to receive these exhibits below the sewers. Once they have the exhibits, they leave immediately, and new people take their place to receive the new exhibits.
Keller moved quickly, making three trips in no time. Then, while he maintained the same speed in retrieving paintings from the museum, he slowed down his trips back and forth through the sewers.
He was a high school student who, when Manhattan was invaded, was led by his teacher and many of his classmates to hide in the sewers.
I thought things would end quickly, but Manhattan fell, and those horrific invaders were carrying out a massacre on the ground.
More than two hundred of them were trapped in the sewers and were subsequently captured by the Wolf Gang.
The female teacher and all the female students became playthings of the wolf gang members. The male teacher and the male students had no choice but to risk going to the ground to rob gold shops, supermarkets, banks, and museums in order to survive.
This was their seventh operation, and of the 126 male students, only 32 remained.
Most of the students died. A few escaped, but they're probably dead too.
In such a chaotic environment, it would be extremely difficult for a minor to survive on their own.
Once on the ground, he tried to escape, but the members of the Wolf Gang who were guarding them didn't care. However, he dared not run, nor did he want to.
Doing these things for the gang is very risky, but if you're careful, you can still survive.
Moreover, as long as they can return alive, those female classmates and teachers will be at their mercy.
During this time, he experienced the pleasures of all the female classmates and teachers, and he couldn't bear to run away.
There was one thing that he, his surviving male classmates, and two male teachers regretted: the two prettiest girls in the school, Bana and Gwen, didn't come to school on the day of the alien invasion. They wondered which bastard had gotten those two damn bitches.
Trip after trip, a few minutes later, a roar came from the sky. The gang members monitoring the boys immediately jumped into the sewers and then ran away with the people receiving the exhibits.
The boys reacted quickly, and they ran towards the sewer with all their might.
Several teenagers who were close to the sewers jumped in; the teenagers who ran out of the museum were pierced by laser beams; and the teenagers who hid inside the museum were buried beneath the collapsed building...
Not far from the sewer, Keller, who had lost both legs, lay on the ground and crawled toward the sewer entrance with his hands, leaving two scarlet marks behind him.
Seconds later, as he climbed to the sewer entrance and grabbed the edge with both hands, a missile swooped in before he could reach it.
With a deafening roar, a burst of fire suddenly appeared before Keller's eyes, and then he lost consciousness forever.
