Chapter 22 Siege
Chapter 22 Siege
"They captured the bridge and the second hall...a shadow looms in the darkness..."
thump—
The sudden sound of drums made everyone present look around warily.
Aragorn looked at Gandalf and said, "We need to get out of here immediately!"
Gandalf looked up and glanced around as well.
He then quickly glanced at the rest of the text and muttered to himself, "We can't escape! They're here!"
thump—
Another drumbeat sounded, but this time the sound was closer.
It seemed to be coming from the dry well behind Tie Hui.
This made Pippin, who was closest to him, curious and want to go forward and take a look.
Gandalf and the others also noticed the source of the drumming: "This is no place to linger; we need to leave immediately..."
Tie Hui turned around and saw that Pipin was already lying on the other side of the well, listening curiously.
Before Tie Hui could react, Pi Ping jumped up with a look of delight: "The sound is right here—"
What he didn't notice was that his violent movement as he got up directly hit the head of the corpse next to him.
Bang!
In an instant, everyone was drawn to the loud noise. The head fell off, pulling the chains and dragging the body and the wooden barrel down with it.
The enormous sound traveled to every corner of the quiet environment.
Tie Hui held the bird divination instrument in his hand, staring blankly at Pi Ping.
His attention had been focused on the bird divination instrument, but he turned around to look when he heard the sound.
But fate played a cruel trick on him, and he actually succeeded.
"Hurry up!" Tie Hui pulled out a laser rifle from his dimensional space, shouted to the crowd, and then took a step forward, running towards the door.
The sound was still echoing, but this time, a third drumbeat was mixed in, and the drumbeat was more intense and high-pitched.
Gandalf had already snatched the staff and magic hat from his hands, glaring angrily at Pippin: "You fool, you'll get us killed one day!"
Frodo drew his sword from his waist and looked at the blue glow on it, and he became somewhat flustered.
After Gandalf put on his hat, he immediately drew his longsword from his waist: "Get out of here!"
Tie Hui kicked open the dilapidated wooden door, which was no match for the orcs' attack.
We have to fight our way out, otherwise we could very well be trapped inside and die.
Although the protagonist has a halo, it's unlikely that anything bad will happen, but so many butterfly effects have still occurred.
What if?
As soon as Tie Hui went out, he saw the orcs surrounding him from the darkness inside the hall.
The sheer number of them, and the shadowy figures still surging towards them from the darkness, made even him gasp in shock.
He immediately raised his laser gun and pulled the trigger at the nearest orc.
Bang bang bang bang bang bang——
In an instant, the muzzle flashed red light!
The red laser struck the orc's body, producing a series of crisp sounds.
The dozen or so orcs closest to the target were instantly riddled with bullets.
The system in his mind was frantically refreshing the screen, but Tie Hui directly blocked it.
Tie Hui turned back to the group that had already left and shouted, "Hurry up!"
Legolas fired an arrow, knocking down an ogre who was raising a rock in an attempt to ambush him.
Several orcs still fired arrows at Iron Glow, but their smug, ugly faces froze in two seconds.
Because all the arrows that were shot hit Iron Glow's bulletproof armor with a clang.
In addition, the dragon scale armor that was close to his skin made him feel a series of massage-like pressures.
Upon seeing this, Tie Hui immediately turned his gun around and opened fire.
They smashed the orcs on the high place into pieces.
Aragorn and Boromir led the way, shields raised, while the hobbits and Gimli protected Frodo.
Gandalf would occasionally unleash a flash of light, forcing the light-fearing orcs to abandon their attacks and cover their eyes.
Aragorn and Boromir took the opportunity to step forward and hack away, clearing a path.
call--
A whooshing sound suddenly came from the side, and Tie Hui felt his collar being grabbed and pulled backward.
The next second, a strong wind howled.
A huge black shadow swept past him less than half a meter away.
Only after flying far away did they realize that it was a huge stone mace, and its owner was a tall ogre.
Looking back, he saw that it was Legolas who had just grabbed him.
Tie Hui nodded in respect, then turned the gun around!
With a flash of red light, the ogre's head instantly turned into shards of watermelon.
Legolas was amazed by the efficiency and power of the killing.
"Turagg!" Harragon shouted to Ironbeard behind him after beheading an orc.
Tie Hui immediately took out a grenade from his dimensional space, pulled the pin, and threw it forcefully onto the road in front of the team.
Everyone in the group immediately hid behind the surrounding stone pillars.
The orcs around the landed grenade, bewildered, gathered around and stared at the object on the ground.
boom--
Just as they were still thinking, the grenade exploded with a bang, and the orange-red flames engulfed several orcs around them.
The shrapnel and impact force from the explosion covered a radius of tens of meters.
Because of the density of the orc attack, this attack wiped out nearly a hundred orcs.
Aragon's face lit up with joy, and he immediately led his men forward at full speed.
Gandalf passed by the site of the explosion and looked at the wreckage on the ground.
All I could do was silently pray in my heart that these orcs would not suffer too much when they died.
"What a great weapon!" Polomir exclaimed with admiration and envy after witnessing the power of the explosion firsthand.
This terrifying attack instantly eliminated the obstacles blocking the way.
This also intimidated the other pursuing orcs, causing them to follow behind the group in fear, hesitant to approach for fear of being attacked.
Seeing that these orcs dared not approach, Tie Hui immediately stopped pulling the trigger.
After all, batteries are limited!
Pippin and Merry cleverly picked up the pebbles on the ground and pretended to throw them as grenades at the group of orcs that surrounded them.
This immediately frightened the group of eager orcs, who then retreated and scattered in all directions.
This greatly reduced the pressure on everyone!
Watching the two men's actions, Gimli laughed heartily, "What clever hobbits!"
But the number of orc archers increased, and countless arrows rained down on the crowd.
Legolas, on the other hand, single-handedly engaged the orc archers in a duel of arrows.
Sometimes they would even leap into the air and spin, intercepting the orc arrows that were being shot at them from mid-air.
Upon landing, he drew his bow and shot an arrow, felling the orc who was shooting at him.
This incredibly cool scene made Tie Hui extremely envious.
Ironfellow had no good options left for the orc archers in the distance.
After all, it would be quite difficult for him to move and shoot in this environment.
So let's just hand it over to Legolas!
