After traveling for two full months in the dark universe, the star finally arrived at its destination.
Magnolia Star.
Its location is somewhat similar to Qiulong Star in the original work, except that this planet is more prosperous.
Star looked out at the scene through the spaceship's porthole.
From space, this planet appears to emit a blue-green light.
Thousands of spacecraft traverse space, ranging from small private shuttles to cargo carriers that stretch for kilometers.
In the distance, twelve giant spaceports bloomed like metallic flowers, constantly swallowing and spitting out spaceships.
"This...this is true cosmic civilization."
Xingchen murmured to himself, feeling as if he were in another world at such a bustling interstellar port.
The spacecraft received a traction signal from the Yulan Star Space Administration and automatically adjusted its course to fly towards the B-zone spaceport.
As the distance closes, the stars can see details of the planet's surface: glowing man-made structures dotting the continents, enormous floating cities drifting on the oceans, and formations of spacecraft occasionally streaking through the atmosphere.
"B2 class spacecraft, registration number PR-4472, please park at position C-7214 as instructed."
A mechanical voice came from the communicator.
The spaceship slowly descended into the atmosphere, passing through a pale blue energy shield.
Through the gradually thinning clouds, the entire harbor was finally revealed:
Thousands of helipads are arranged in a ring, each equipped with an automated maintenance robotic arm.
The central control tower pierced the clouds, and the holographic projection at the top of the tower constantly updated the exchange rates and important announcements of various star systems.
Most striking are the several streamlined spaceships moored at the edge of the harbor, their surfaces shimmering with a liquid metal-like sheen, clearly high-end custom-made pieces of considerable value.
"Beep—Welcome to Magnolia Star."
The port's intelligent system issued a notification after the spacecraft came to a complete stop.
After disembarking from the spaceship, Xingchen casually paid the parking fee and then headed straight for the Nova Empire's administrative building on Yulan Star, guided by the intelligent computer.
He needs to register an identity first.
Also, I need to find a way to make some money; I'm really broke right now.
……
Xingchen stood in front of the Nova Empire's administrative building, gazing up at the towering blue crystal structure that stood a thousand meters tall.
The people coming and going were dressed in all sorts of different clothes, some of which were very different from the humans in Xingchen's mind. Some had four arms, some had scales, and some were made of metal. Xingchen was dazzled by the sight.
"At least it looks much better than the civilization of Earth."
Xingchen straightened his armor and strode into the revolving door.
The interior space is even more magnificent than the exterior. The hall, with a diameter of over 500 meters, is circular, with hundreds of service windows arranged along the curved walls. In the center, a huge holographic projection of a galaxy floats, displaying the territory of the Nova Empire and its vassal states.
"Please go to windows 18-25 in Area B for identity registration."
The intelligent guidance system detected an unfamiliar face among the stars and immediately provided a prompt.
Xingchen followed the directions to area B and chose a window with a shorter queue.
There were only three applicants ahead of them: two were humans, and the other was a humanoid creature covered in purple crystals.
"Next person."
A mechanical voice sounded; it was Xingchen's turn.
The registrar behind the window was a serious-looking middle-aged woman with a data processing chip embedded in her forehead.
She looked up at Xingchen, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes; Xingchen's human form was indeed striking.
"Apply for identity registration?"
Her voice was as rigid as her expression.
Xingchen nodded: "Yes, I need to apply for citizenship in the Nova Empire."
"Original identification code?"
"No, this is my first time registering."
The registrar's finger paused in mid-air, his brow furrowing: "No original nationality? Please explain your origin."
Xingchen had already prepared his explanation: "I come from a remote star system and have been cultivating in the universe with my master since I was a child. I have never registered an official identity. Now that my master has passed away, I need a legal identity."
This explanation is not uncommon in the world of Swallowed Star; many disciples of reclusive masters have similar experiences.
The registrar scoffed, "Every illegal immigrant says that. Where's the proof? Your master's identification number? His spiritual records? Even a photograph?"
Xingchen frowned; he hadn't expected to encounter such difficulties.
In the original novel, Luo Feng's registration process seemed much smoother. It seems that the rules do indeed differ between different planets and empires.
"My master never uses technological products."
The stars answered calmly.
"you……"
boom!
A powerful aura enveloped the entire hall.
"Did I give you face?"
Seeing that the registrar was about to continue making things difficult, Xingchen finally couldn't take it anymore. "I'll endure this!"
A planet actually dared to make things difficult for him, a domain lord!
Is there any reason?
Is there any royal law?
"I'll give you a chance to reorganize your language!"
Chapter 4 Domain Lord!
Xingchen's voice wasn't loud, but it resounded like thunder throughout the entire administration hall.
An invisible pressure erupted from him, instantly covering the entire space with a diameter of one kilometer.
Click!Click!Click!
Sparks erupted from all electronic devices in the hall simultaneously, and the holographic projection flickered a few times before disappearing completely. The three closest scanning robots immediately burst into smoke and became unusable, their metal shells twisted and deformed.
"This...this is..."
The registrar's face turned deathly pale instantly.
Even more terrifying were the others in the hall; those planetary and stellar-level warriors were as if held down by an invisible hand, uncontrollably kneeling on the ground.
Several of the weaker fighters even collapsed to the ground, blood seeping from their mouths and noses.
"No... this oppressive aura."
A ninth-level stellar-level martial artist struggled to raise his head, his eyes filled with terror.
"At least cosmic level!"
Star coldly stared at the registrar who had slumped into his seat.
"Sir...sir, spare your life!"
The registrar's voice trembled so much it was almost inaudible. She struggled to climb out of her seat and knelt down directly in front of Xingchen, kowtowing.
"I was blind and didn't recognize your greatness! Please spare my life, sir!"
The entire hall was completely silent, save for heavy breathing and the crackling sounds of short-circuited electronic equipment.
They were terrified that the stars might crush them all if they were displeased. Such things do happen in the universe; in this world where the strong are respected, strength is everything.
Xingchen originally didn't want to be so high-profile, and he had been trying his best to suppress his aura the whole way, but now, he didn't want to suppress it anymore!
I've been reborn, why should I put up with this crap!
What I want is eternity, freedom!
Xingchen slowly withdrew some of his oppressive aura, allowing everyone to breathe barely, but still maintaining sufficient intimidation: "Now, can it be done?"
"Yes! Yes! We'll do it right away!"
The registrar stumbled back to his seat, his fingers trembling as he operated the control panel.
Only then did she notice that the system automatically popped up a window displaying a message.
[Gene Warrior: Fifth Tier of Domain Lord Level]
"Domain...Domain Lord..."
The registrar almost fainted.
She was actually making things difficult for a Domain Lord-level being! This was a top-tier powerhouse in the entire Nova Empire; a single glance from him could obliterate her!
"Sir...please wait a moment! I'll contact the supervisor right away!"
The registrar frantically pressed the emergency communication button.
In less than ten seconds, a middle-aged man in a magnificent uniform arrived with more than a dozen guards.
When he saw the stars standing there, they all froze in place. The invisible pressure made even a cosmic being like him feel breathless.
"Your Excellency, Lord of the Domain!"
The supervisor bowed deeply, cold sweat beading on his forehead.
"I am Morris, the administrative director of Magnolia Star, a level three cosmic official. I was unaware of your arrival, sir, and apologize for any shortcomings in my greeting!"
Xingchen gave a faint "hmm" before completely withdrawing his oppressive aura.
Everyone in the hall felt as if they had been granted a pardon, but no one dared to stand up; they all bowed their heads in awe.
"I'm just here to register an identity."
"Stars said calmly."
