"The Buddha's main point is that those who attain enlightenment have two initial foundations: one is purity and emptiness, and the other is transformation. With purity and emptiness, there are no obstacles; with transformation, there are no hindrances. Only when there are no obstacles and hindrances can one enter and exit samadhi..."

After reciting a passage of scripture, he didn't ask Jingxu if she had memorized it. He simply waved his hand, indicating that she could leave. Jingxu clasped her hands in a respectful greeting, silently sat down beside Abbess Miejue, and continued reciting the scripture.

[The Buddha may have a fierce and wrathful expression, yet he always maintains a compassionate and unwavering heart. You imparted to Jingxu the "Arhat Subduing Demon Skill," teaching him not only how to fish but also how to fish, and from then on, the Emei Buddhist sect flourished.]

………………

He turned his gaze to Ji Xiaofu, pondered for a moment, and said…

"Your sword is sharp, your actions ruthless, and you have the air of annihilation. I have nothing to teach you, but your mind is gloomy and your selfishness is too great, which will ultimately harm both yourself and others."

"I have only one piece of advice for you: take this opportunity to sever your ties of affection with your sword. It will be better for both you and Wudang. There is still a chance. If you are not willing to spend your life in seclusion, you might as well leave Emei."

Upon hearing this, the others exchanged bewildered glances, wondering why Senior Sister Ji, who was clearly a kind person, had been described as 'scheming and overly selfish'.

Only Ding Minjun showed a hint of mockery, clearly knowing something. However, she lacked evidence, and Ji Xiaofu always displeased Miejue, so she could only keep it to herself, waiting for the day it would explode.

“Amitabha!” Abbess Jingxu, who was sitting cross-legged to the side, suddenly spoke up and said, “Junior Sister Xiaofu, if you are unwilling, you may leave now! If Master blames you, I will bear the consequences.”

Ji Xiaofu was pregnant with Yang Xiao's child, and she was so distraught that she ran away in a panic.

[Ji Xiaofu knew of the grudges between Yang Xiao and Emei, and knew that this action was unfair to Yin Liting, yet she intended to conceal the matter and secretly gave birth to a child.]

You tried to enlighten Ji Xiaofu and let her go so she could marry Yang Xiao, but she was too selfish. She didn't want to give up her position as the leader of the Emei Sect, nor did she want her family to be disgraced, and she didn't want this illicit affair to be known by others.

The Ji family of Jinbian already knew about this, but they chose to keep it a secret, intending to take control of Emei once Ji Xiaofu became the sect leader.

"Stubborn!"

Looking at the narration in his mind, Zhu Yuchen flicked his sleeve and pushed her far away with a gentle force.

Ji Xiaofu simply shook her head with a dejected expression and walked away, heartbroken.

Master Jingxu sighed and lowered her head to chant sutras. Everyone watched, completely bewildered, not knowing what kind of riddle she was speaking of.

………………

Zhu Yuchen looked at the little girl who had stuck out her tongue earlier and said...

"Although your aptitude is somewhat inferior to the other three, you have a lively personality. It would be a waste to have you become like those old, pious women, spending your days in seclusion with only the dim light of a lamp and ancient Buddha statues!"

"Your cleverness and quirkiness are quite reminiscent of Guo Xiang in her youth. I can teach you a beautiful acupressure technique."

“Back then, Guo Xiang’s maternal grandfather, Huang Yaoshi, the Eastern Heretic, possessed a martial art that was both elegant and agile. One of his signature skills was the Orchid Flicking Acupoint Hand.”

"Guo Xiang also knew this martial art, but it didn't align with her Buddhist path in the latter half of her life, so she abandoned it. This martial art should have been passed down to Gu Hongzi's lineage, but unfortunately, his aptitude was limited. You should watch closely..."

As he spoke, his entire demeanor changed. His fingers curled slightly, like a secluded orchid in a valley. With a flick of his wrist, his true energy moved.

As his moves changed, orchids bloomed before his eyes, leaving behind afterimages.

Others only found it exceptionally beautiful, but in the little girl's eyes, the orchids reflected in her vision transformed into a ruthless acupressure technique, sealing off meridians and locking acupoints wherever they passed.

After a long while, everyone came to their senses from the beautiful orchid phantom. Zhu Yuchen didn't ask her if she understood it or not, but waved his sleeve and dismissed them.

Just then, behind everyone, Miejue slowly opened her eyes.

P.S.: Thank you to Mingye who loves pineapple beans, thank you Losek 99th generation, thank you Zhiyisidao Nian, thank you Qi Shuai who loves tofu and fish slices, thank you I haven't given up, thank you Yifei Chongtian?, thank you Wuyu de Shushuren, thank you Wu Nuzhu supporter, thank you Buhui Sujie Shi, thank you Weiyi Moce. Chapter 138 Extinction of the Barren Mountains and Disposal of Internal Affairs

As soon as Miejue moved, Jingxu, who had been guarding her, sprang up and helped her sit against a large tree. The other Emei disciples, seeing Miejue awaken, all gathered around her.

"Where...where is this...?" Miejue's eyes still held a trace of confusion.

Master Jingxu steadied her and, while feeding her water with a stone bowl, said, "Sect Leader, this is a desolate mountain near Hankou, and two days have passed."

After drinking some water, Abbess Miejue gradually regained her senses. She looked at the people surrounding her. In the past, she would only find them annoying and had no sense of vigilance, but now she could see the concern in their eyes.

"Amitabha!" Abbess Miejue chanted softly, feeling a surge of life within her, no longer filled with death and resentment. She said, "Thank you for your hard work for your master!"

The Emei disciples looked at each other, feeling that Abbess Miejue seemed different, but they couldn't quite put their finger on what was different.

Master Jingxu carefully observed the expression between Miejue's brows and felt that in an instant, her whole person seemed to be glowing. The murderous aura and harshness between her brows, as well as the unbridled killing intent, were gone, and she became much more peaceful.

She clasped her hands together and said, "Congratulations, Sect Leader, on your liberation from the cycle of life and death and the attainment of Buddhahood."

………………

Extinction smiled slightly, not answering, but instead turning her head to look around. She paused, then beckoned Ji Xiaofu over. After looking for a long time, until Ji Xiaofu broke out in a cold sweat, she sighed and said…

"Previously, I was troubled by love and almost went mad. I only felt that your swordsmanship was ruthless and you never showed mercy to your opponents. So I intended to let you take over the Emei sect."

"When you returned from that trip, you reported that you had encountered Yang Xiao. After that, you were distracted. I thought you had witnessed his martial arts and were afraid that you couldn't kill him."

"Now that I have faced death myself, I know that you are in love with him. Have you already given yourself to him?"

The Emei disciples were taken aback by these words. Ding Minjun revealed a hint of smugness. Everyone looked at Ji Xiaofu, and a few of them looked anxious and couldn't help but call out, "Senior Sister Ji?"

Ji Xiaofu trembled, slowly knelt down, and said, "Master..."

Abbess Jingxu gently supported Miejue's back, helping her sit up. Miejue waved her hand and said...

"So, you really have given yourself to him!"

"Since that's the case, I won't keep you any longer. Once you descend the mountain today, you will no longer be a disciple of the Emei Sect. However, there are a few things I need to clarify with you..."

"First, your martial arts skills are passed down from Emei. I see that you are a woman and I don't want you to suffer humiliation in the martial world, so I will not cripple your martial arts. However, you must not teach the Emei martial arts you have learned to others in the future, otherwise I will hunt you down to death and never give up!"

"Secondly, now that you have returned from the Ji family, your father and others must know that you have given yourself to Yang Xiao! They actually kept it a secret, on the one hand they were plotting to seize the position of the Emei Sect leader, and on the other hand they wanted you to marry into the Wudang Sect. I will discuss this matter with Master Zhang and dissolve your engagement with Yin Liting. We will wait for their explanation in Emei."

"Third, after you meet Yang Xiao, tell him that the death of my senior brother Gu Hongzi was due to his own reasons, as well as his narrow-mindedness. If we meet again someday, I would be willing to learn from him."

"Alright, you may now descend the mountain. From now on, you shall have nothing to do with Emei."

Ji Xiaofu trembled, kneeling motionless on the ground, her mind blank. All the Ji family's previous schemes had come to naught. Not only would they have to bear the stigma of colluding with the Demonic Sect, but they would also have to suffer the consequences of plotting against the Emei and Wudang sects.

The Ji family, known as the "Golden Whip," will likely become a laughingstock in the martial arts world, with the father's illustrious reputation now reduced to a source of ridicule.

In a daze, he was completely disoriented. Without even taking his sword, he got up and headed down the mountain.

………………

Abbess Miejue didn't look at her, but turned to Jingxu and said, "Did you already know about this?"

Master Jingxu clasped her hands together and bowed her head, saying, "When Junior Sister Ji returned that time, I saw a hint of spring in her eyes. Later, I discovered that she was no longer a virgin. She often spaced out by herself, clearly having a lover in her heart, but I didn't know it was Yang Xiao!"

“Disciple concealed the truth, please punish me, Master!” Jingxu knelt down and bowed.

The Emei disciples were in an uproar, never expecting such a thing to happen, but with Miejue in charge, everyone waited for her to speak.

Abbess Miejue looked at Abbess Jingxu and suddenly asked, "Are you afraid that I would kill her because of my violent temper back then?"

Master Jingxu said in a low voice, "Master has always been fond of Junior Sister Ji. I was afraid that Master would be heartbroken and that in a moment of panic, I would leave behind regrets."

Abbess Miejue waved her sleeve and said...

"Get up! I have no reason to blame you for this. It's so obvious, yet this old nun couldn't see it. I can only blame myself for being blind."

"But the actions of the Ji family of Jinbian are truly contrary to the righteous path and are chilling. After you have settled in the town, write a letter to the Ji family explaining this matter."

"Yes," Master Jingxu replied, standing beside Master Miejue.

………………

Abbess Miejue looked at her disciples and said, "Minjun, come here!"

A fiery glint flashed in Ding Minjun's eyes. She immediately squeezed through the crowd, came to Miejue's side, clasped her hands in greeting, and said, "Disciple greets Master!"

Abbess Miejue nodded, looked at her for a long time until she seemed hesitant, and then said...

“Minjun, you have always considered yourself the next leader of the Emei Sect. In your actions and mannerisms, you have always imitated your teacher.”

"Do you know that not only do many disciples in the sect dislike you, but I myself did not like you before. You are narrow-minded, unable to be friendly to your fellow disciples, and you are arrogant and domineering towards the younger disciples."

"It's just that you are my senior disciple in the secular world, so this old nun has been very tolerant of you, hoping that you can repent on your own and be friendly to your fellow disciples. But now it seems..."

“Back down the mountain, you took advantage of my presence to provoke your opponents recklessly, completely disregarding whether it would involve your fellow disciples.”

"When you saw your master injured, you were the first to hide behind him. Not only did you fail to share the burden of the sect, but you also brought trouble upon yourself."

Do you agree with what I've said?

“Master, your disciple…” Ding Minjun knelt on the ground, eager to argue.

A hint of disappointment flashed in Abbess Miejue's eyes. Such sophistry and blatant self-reflection—how could she possibly be the leader of the Emei Sect? Ding Minjun, however, was unaware that by merely offering a trace of evasiveness, she had already lost the chance to become the leader of the Emei Sect once again.

Abbess Miejue waved her hand and said, "You don't need to say anything more. We'll see how you act in the future, and the Emei disciples will have their own judgment!"

She looked around and said, "You all have seen how Minjun will act in the future. If you know that your fellow disciples are wrong and remain silent, how are you any different from her?"

Chen Siyao and the others bowed and clasped their hands, saying, "Disciples will respectfully follow Master's teachings."

Abbess Miejue nodded and said, "From this day forward, if I am not present, Jingxu will be in charge of all matters concerning Emei."

Master Jingxu bowed and said, "Master, this... I'm afraid I'm not up to the task."

Abbess Miejue said, "Considering everything that has happened in the past, why shouldn't you agree? Let's make this decision!"

Upon hearing this, the Emei disciples faced Abbess Jingxu, bowed, and clasped their hands in greeting, saying, "Greetings, Senior Sister!"

Chapter 139 Yesterday's events are gone, today's events are new

Seeing that Miejue had made up her mind, Ding Minjun looked dejected and retreated to the back of the crowd.

Abbess Miejue looked at her disciples and grand-disciples and sighed, "In the past, I was blinded by hatred and neglected you. If Emei is ruined because of me and our founder is disgraced, how can I face our founder?"

After dealing with the Emei sect's affairs, the last trace of melancholy between Abbess Miejue's brows completely disappeared, and she looked much more dignified and solemn.

The Emei disciples felt that after their sect leader awoke, he not only acted with greater clarity and discernment, but also refrained from scolding or punishing them. Instead of their previous trembling with fear, they now exuded confidence and tranquility around their sect leader.

With the help of Jingxu and Jingxuan, Abbess Miejue stood up. She took a few steps in place and, after recovering, looked at Zhu Yuchen and his servant.

………………

The Emei disciples quickly made way for Zhu Yuchen, and Abbess Miejue stepped forward, clasped her hands together, and said, "Yesterday's events are gone, today's events are new. This old nun thanks you for your guidance."

Zhu Yuchen scrutinized her for a moment, then exclaimed in admiration, "I thought it was Abbess Fengling who had misjudged you, but I didn't expect your comprehension to be even better than I thought. After this ordeal, not only have you rid yourself of your inner demons, but you will also make great progress in your martial arts in the future, living up to the prestige of Emei."

Abbess Miejue clasped her hands in prayer...

"In the past, I was deeply entangled in the tribulations of love and almost succumbed to my inner demons. I failed my master's trust and the teachings of the patriarch. All that has happened before is now in the past."

"My senior brother Gu Hongzi died because he was not skilled enough in martial arts and because he lacked magnanimity. After I return to the mountain, I will personally paint a portrait of my senior brother so that his descendants can worship him and help him be reborn in the Pure Land."

"As for Yang Xiao's matter, this old nun will not let it go so easily. Gu Hongzi's lack of martial arts skills is his personal matter. But Yang Xiao has insulted my sect and tarnished the reputation of our patriarch. If we meet again on the road someday, this old nun will still have to ask him for some pointers."

Zhu Yuchen waved his hand and said, "This is a matter for your Emei sect, so there's no need to tell me. If you let go of your past obsessions and clearly distinguish between gratitude and resentment, there is hope for the revival of Emei."

………………

Abbess Miejue nodded and said, "This old nun still has a journey to Wudang, so I must take my leave now!"

"Does the nun want to ask about Xie Xun's whereabouts?" Zhu Yuchen asked.

Abbess Miejue did not hide anything, her expression calm, and said...

“I only have one brother in my secular family. Now that my brother has been killed by Xie Xun, even though I have become a nun, I still want to seek justice for my brother.”

"Moreover, countless wronged souls were killed by Xie Xun in the past; the Shaolin monk Kongjian also failed to save him; all these things must have a result."

"If the Venerable One saves me today, and I save Xie Xun in the future, then I will also have immeasurable merit."

"If Zhang Cuishan and his wife are willing to hand over Xie Xun, this old nun is willing to take him back to Emei and enlighten him with Buddhist teachings every day to help him transcend his past sins!"

Behind Abbess Miejue, the Emei disciples clasped their hands in prayer and said, "Amitabha!"

All things are impermanent, all phenomena are self. You have attained enlightenment and achieved Buddhahood by transcending annihilation; the barriers between Buddhist and Taoist inner cultivation have dissipated; your Great Dao, the Azure Lotus Chapter, has progressed; and you have achieved something in the 'Only My Way'.

As the narration echoed in his mind, Zhu Yuchen felt as if a layer of mist had been peeled away from the road ahead, and something seemed to have broken through, making his Dao heart even more active. His true energy was extremely vibrant, and his essence, energy, and spirit merged into one, manifesting a purple-blue lotus image in his sea of consciousness. The essence, energy, and spirit condensed into a phantom lotus seed, which landed in the lotus heart.

Outside, Zhu Yuchen's true energy surged, his robes fluttered without wind, a purple-blue light flashed in his eyes, and a lotus platform behind him disappeared in a flash.

Zhu Yuchen stood still, and within a radius of ten feet, every blade of grass and every tree manifested in his mind.

Behind me, an ant had just pushed aside the loose soil in the burrow, crawled out of the burrow, and raised its two legs toward the sky.

Behind him, Ah Niu looked anxious, his worry reflected in his eyes, which was captured by his divine sense.

Before him stood an ancient tree, a single leaf hanging from a branch, yet Zhu Yuchen sensed it was about to fall. A sudden gust of wind swept by, and the leaf swayed and drifted down. In Zhu Yuchen's mind, he already knew the trajectory of its fall.

Zhu Yuchen revealed a smile, and a hint of joy appeared in the surrounding atmosphere. The Emei Sect disciples inexplicably burst into laughter.

"Amitabha!" Abbess Miejue said with a smile, "Congratulations, Venerable One, on taking another step forward."
