Chapter 170: Introduction to Black Zetsu
Chapter 170: Introduction to Black Zetsu
"Ahem." Black Zetsu coughed lightly twice.
"Indra, Asura, next, I will introduce these reincarnated beings to you in detail."
"Alas, heroes and great men are as numerous as fish crossing a river, and if the history of the ninja world were to lack these few, it would lose a great deal of its fun and excitement."
Black Zetsu raised his hand and patted it lightly, then stepped to the side and began to formally introduce these reincarnations who carried the bloodlines of the two.
He first raised his hand and pointed to Senju Shuichi and Uchiha Izumi, who were not far away, and began in a calm tone: "Let's start with the first reincarnation."
"These two are Senju Shuichi and Uchiha Izumi. They are among the few who have experienced both the end of the Ninja Clan and the turbulent era of the ninja clan in later generations."
"Their life-or-death battle was the beginning of the long-standing feud between the Senju and Uchiha clans. Ever since Uchiha Izumi was killed by Senju Shuichi, the two clans have been sworn enemies with an irreconcilable blood feud."
Even though Shuichi later wanted to end the war and tried to appease the Uchiha clan, they ultimately didn't appreciate it, and the seeds of hatred were sown forever.
Black Zetsu recounted this long-buried past word by word.
Shuichi Senju's hands, hanging by his sides, clenched slightly as he sighed softly, "Alas, Izumi and I could have avoided this fight from the very beginning."
"If I hadn't killed Izumi back then, perhaps there wouldn't have been so many endless, bloody wars in later generations."
Upon hearing this, Uchiha Izumi also sighed deeply, his tone filled with a sense of helplessness and fatalistic melancholy: "Shuichi, you are still too naive."
"The Uchiha's hostility towards the Senju clan stems from the clan rules left by my father. Even if you don't kill me, my descendants will still fight against the Senju clan. This is a conflict that was destined to happen."
Upon hearing this, Indra's gaze sharpened suddenly. He looked directly at Izumi and asked in a deep voice, "Oh? Who is your father?"
"Uchiha Raku. You should recognize him; he is your youngest grandson."
Quan Yi replied in a deep voice, his tone filled with respect for his predecessors.
A look of realization flashed across Indra's eyes, and he nodded gently: "So it was Luo. When I was on my deathbed, I did specifically tell him not to forget the struggle between the ninja clans."
"I didn't expect that little guy to carry out my words so thoroughly."
The tone abruptly changed, and Indra's brows furrowed sharply, a look of disbelief and anger flashing across his face: "Wait, you're saying you were killed by this kid named Shuichi? So, you lost?"
Uchiha Izumi immediately snorted coldly, his tone full of resentment and frustration: "Yes! I did lose!"
He looked up and stared directly at Indra, his voice suddenly rising, filled with long-suppressed resentment as he demanded:
"I'd like to ask you, as an ancestor of the Uchiha clan, shouldn't you know about the Mangekyou Sharingan?"
Upon hearing the words "Mangekyou Sharingan," Indra paused slightly, a look of obvious astonishment on his face.
"The Mangekyou Sharingan? Is it an advanced form of the three-tomoe Sharingan? The kind where unique patterns appear in the eyes?"
Indra frowned, asking questions with a heavy heart, clearly puzzled by the matter.
"That's right! Since you know about this kind of eye technique, then I must ask you!"
Izumi's voice grew increasingly cold.
"These eyes are undeniably powerful, but the negative consequences are devastating. I simply cannot withstand the backlash from such power!"
"If I weren't on the verge of blindness and my strength weren't greatly diminished, I would never have been so eager to achieve victory and rashly sought out Xiu Yi for a duel!"
"Since you were so determined to ensure your descendants' victory, why didn't you leave behind a way to resolve the blinding drawback of the Mangekyou Sharingan!?"
These questions were delivered with resounding force, and the Uchiha clan members behind him instantly turned their gazes toward Indra.
They had long harbored such doubts and wanted to ask Izumi Ichi for advice, but to their surprise, Izumi Ichi himself knew nothing about it, leaving them even more bewildered.
Only Uchiha Sa remained calm, completely unconcerned about the argument. She hadn't even awakened her Mangekyou Sharingan yet, so naturally she had no need to worry about it.
Indra frowned even more, his face full of bewilderment and speechlessness. He spoke in a deep voice, "What nonsense are you spouting? The Sharingan is the Sharingan, a form of eye technique that controls one's own vision. How can it be said to cause blindness?"
"Back then, I constantly activated my Sharingan for battles and training, and I never experienced the slightest sign of vision decline."
"Then why should we risk blindness? As the ancestor of the Uchiha clan, how could you be so ignorant of this?"
Unable to contain himself, Uchiha Gen couldn't help but ask further questions.
Indra remained calm and indifferent: "You'll have to ask my biological father for the reason."
Upon hearing this, the Uchiha clan members were all speechless, frozen in place, unsure of how to respond.
"Ancestor, I'm sorry, it's all my fault that the conflict between the two races has escalated to this point."
Senju Shuichi quickly turned to Ashura and bowed deeply in apology.
Ashura gently patted his shoulder, his eyes showing no blame, and smiled warmly, "It's alright, Xiu Yi."
"It was the Uchiha clan that started the conflict. We were just trying to protect ourselves. There's no need to take the blame on ourselves."
After saying that, he turned to look at Black Zetsu, his tone calm and indifferent: "Third Uncle, please continue. I would like to hear more about the stories of my descendants."
Upon hearing this, Black Zetsu's lips curled into a meaningful smile.
He immediately moved aside, his gaze falling on Uchiha Kitsune, who looked like he was giving up, and gently patted his shoulder.
"Alright! The next one is even more of a heavyweight!"
"The first person to cross the river in a shroud, to prove his Dao through killing and love, the legendary King of Endurance in the ninja world, who single-handedly pierced through two reincarnations of Asura—Uchiha Kitsune!"
As soon as the words were spoken, everyone's eyes instantly focused on Uchiha Kitsune, their gazes filled with various emotions.
"Black Immortal, please watch your words! What do you mean by 'using love to attain enlightenment'? I have never known him, so don't make baseless accusations!"
Senju Uzuki immediately snorted coldly, abruptly turning her head away, not even willing to look at Uchiha Kitsune, her tone full of hostility.
"I'm sorry, Uzuki, I misspoke, but from my perspective, he truly loves you."
Black Zetsu said apologetically
"Hmph! Shameless scoundrel, he's unscrupulous and has no bottom line; he's utterly disgusting!"
Thousand Hands Supporting the Sky stared wide-eyed at Uchiha Fox with a look of rage in his eyes, his tone full of contempt and resentment.
In stark contrast, the other Uchiha clan members present all looked at him with eyes full of admiration and awe, their expressions filled with excitement.
