Chapter 180 Cold Wave
Chapter 180 Cold Wave
Shi Yichen and the other three waited at the village entrance for a while before Zain finally came out of the village, though Zain seemed a little downcast.
"He's here."
Shi Yichen looked at Zain as he came down and said.
"Do you know where the gorilla went?"
Frilian looked at Zain and asked, knowing that if they weren't going the same way, Zain would part ways with them.
“Tuya…a trading city in the central part of the northern kingdoms.”
Zain hadn't expected to be there, and now he would have to part ways with Shi Yichen and the others here, as they were on two different routes.
“It’s far to the east, in the opposite direction from Vessus.”
Shi Yichen and Frilian had already anticipated this outcome, because the gorilla was a warrior and wouldn't specifically go to the magical city of Visaster. They just hadn't expected to part ways so soon.
"Ah."
Zain nodded helplessly. The journey with Shi Yichen and Frilian was very pleasant, but the pleasant time was coming to an end.
Philon and Shutark were also saddened. They had just been chatting and laughing with everyone while doing things together, and now they had to part ways. It was hard not to feel a little sad.
"What should we do?"
Zain also found himself in a difficult position. He wanted to go to the magical city of Visaster with Shi Yichen and the others, but he also wanted to keep his promise to find the gorilla warrior, which put him in a very awkward position.
"Frilian, I set off to catch up with the gorilla."
Zain sat on a rock by the roadside and told Shi Yichen and the others that the reason he left the village with Frilian and the others was to find the gorilla warrior.
"I know."
Frilian always knew that Zain couldn't stay in the group forever.
"It's almost dark now, wouldn't it be better to draw a conclusion tomorrow?"
Phyllen noticed Zain's predicament and suggested that they rest there for the night so that Zain could calmly think about what to do next. She also asked Shutark to ask the villagers if they could borrow a room from them.
"The villagers said they could lend us a small room and we could use it as we pleased."
Just then, Shutark returned with good news: the villagers were happy to lend them a house.
Thank you.
Zain sat on the rock and said to Shi Yichen and the others, "To be honest, my head is in a complete mess right now. I have no idea what to do. Maybe I'll feel better after resting for a while."
…………
night.
The weather has turned cold.
Seeing that there wasn't much firewood left in the house, Zain got up and went outside to fetch some more.
Shi Yichen and Philon were preparing dinner for the evening, while Frilian sat by the fire reading a magic book.
Shutark was sewing his own clothes when he accidentally tore them while helping the old lady with chores today.
"It looks like it's going to snow again soon."
Philon looked out the window and thankfully there was a fireplace in the house.
"After all, the weather is already quite cold."
Zain, who had just returned from fetching firewood, agreed, saying that it would probably start snowing in a few days.
"Philan, your hands are a little red from the cold."
Shi Yichen held Philon's hands. Philon's hands were red from being in cold water and felt icy to the touch.
"It really is cold, this might be a new record."
Frilian also put down the magic book in her hand and came over to hold Philon's hand.
"Lord Shi Yichen's hands are still warmer."
Philen held Shi Yichen's hands tightly because they were so warm.
"Really? There's someone whose hands might be warmer than mine."
Shi Yichen said to Fei Lun with a teasing look, which made Fei Lun blush.
"Let me try."
Seeing the bright red marks on Philen's hands, Hughtark put down the clothes he had already finished sewing and walked over. Without waiting for Philen's consent, he took her hands in his.
In this scene, Shi Yichen and Frilian gave Philon and Shutal Temple space with maternal smiles on their faces.
"It really is, so cold."
Shutark held Philen's hands, warming them for him.
Philon looked at Hughtark's hands, then at Hughtark himself, and quickly placed his hands on Hughtark's face.
"Hey! Stop!"
Before Hugh Tarek could dodge, he hadn't expected Philon to treat him like this; his cold hand was already pressed against his face.
"It seems like they have a good relationship."
Frilian looked at Philon and Shutark interacting and said to Shi Yichen.
"Indeed, just like us."
Shi Yichen smiled and nodded, then hugged Frilian into his arms.
"It's so warm."
Frillie, nestled in Shi Yichen's arms, squinted her eyes, feeling the warmth emanating from him; it was truly comforting.
"Really."
As Zain put firewood into the stove, he muttered under his breath, "Don't they know to keep their manners in check? Don't they know there's a bachelor among us?"
"Philan, Shutark, you two stop shaking hands. And Zain, you can come over for dinner."
Shi Yichen said to the three of them, including Fei Lun.
"Yes, Lord Shi Yichen."
Philen quickly let go of Shutark's hand and went to the dining table, where Shutark and Zain were also seated.
"I'm starting to eat."
The five people finished their prayers before they began to use their knives and forks, and the dinner ended amidst laughter and cheerful conversation.
"It's snowing. Will we have to stay here for the winter again?"
Looking out the window at the snowflakes slowly falling from the sky, Philon asked Shi Yichen and Frilian, "In the northern kingdoms, whenever it snows, it's a heavy snowfall, and the roads become difficult to travel."
"This time we don't need to cross steep mountains, as long as there's no blizzard, it'll be fine."
Frillie watched the light snow falling. If it continued to snow like this, she wouldn't have to worry about the rest of the journey. What she feared was a blizzard, which could easily make people lose their way on the road.
"I have a bad feeling."
Shi Yichen looked at the snow and didn't think much of it at first, but after what Frilian said, he felt a little uneasy. Elves have very strong premonitions.
"Splash splash splash!"
Suddenly a strong gust of wind rattled the windows.
The three people standing by the window were speechless.
"It's starting to blow, Lady Frilian. You really are a jinx."
Philon looked at the scene and looked at Frillie speechlessly. Just as he finished speaking, a strong wind started to blow. Who knows what will happen tomorrow?
"It might not be a blizzard; it could just be wind."
Frillie didn't believe such a coincidence. Did she think a blizzard would just appear out of nowhere?
"Splash splash splash!"
Another gust of wind rattled the windows.
"probably."
Just moments ago, Frillie was very confident, but now she's starting to lose confidence.
