Dimon closed the book, sensing the scent emanating from the coast.
Saint Satan, one of the Five Elders?
What's this old man doing here?
Dimon was a little puzzled. The fact that Ohara's archaeological research had been blank for a hundred years was indeed a significant threat to the World Government.
However, it wasn't serious enough to require the Five Elders to personally intervene.
In the original storyline, the Five Elders would get involved in some kind of action, such as the Battle of God Valley or the capture of the sun god Nika.
Does Ohara even deserve it?
After eliminating other answers, there is only one conclusion.
Dimon chuckled softly, stood up, and looked at the many busy scholars.
After a busy afternoon, dozens of people moved all the books out of the library and piled them up in the lobby.
"A great battle is about to break out on this island, Dr. Vegapunk. I'll send you away first."
Upon hearing this, Vegapunk put down a stack of books and looked up in astonishment:
"A major war? Didn't the Navy promise you they wouldn't attack here for the time being?"
"Those at higher levels have been removed from the stage."
Vegapunk's expression changed. "The Five Elders?"
"That's right, I'll send you away first. If a fight breaks out later, I might not have the energy to protect you."
Dimon nodded.
The lives of others are irrelevant, but Vegapunk is very important; the wishes he made are about to come true.
"I understand! Please send these books along with the rest. As for you..."
Vegapunk nodded and turned to look at the other scholars.
Clover, are you really going to stay?
“Yes, as long as the book is delivered, that will be fine.” Clover nodded and expressed her gratitude to Dimon: “Thank you very much, Lord Dimon!”
Dimon didn't care; they could come or go as they pleased.
But the next second, a young man suddenly grabbed a chair and slammed it against the back of Clover's head.
The clover fell down immediately.
The male scholar took a nervous breath, and seeing everyone else looking at him incredulously, he hurriedly explained:
"What kind of fool stays behind to die? The professor is my benefactor. He took me in when I was so poor I couldn't even afford to eat!"
"Even if I have to tie him up, I'll still take him away!"
"Olvia, Robin, and everyone else, everyone get out of here!"
Olvia rushed to Clover's side, checked his injuries, and breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that he was only unconscious.
She looked at the child-like Dimon and pleaded, "Please help us, Mr. Dimon!"
"It doesn't matter whether I teleport one person or a group of people, it makes no difference to me."
Dimon snapped his fingers, and immediately a huge black magic circle appeared beneath everyone's feet.
"This teleportation array will transport you to a certain place in the East China Sea. After that, whether you live or die is up to you."
As soon as he finished speaking, a great burst of black light appeared.
Just before being teleported away, Olvia hugged her daughter tightly and looked at Dimon with gratitude.
This is your destiny.
The words they had spoken when they first met resurfaced in my mind.
[They happened to meet me by chance, and things will probably turn out alright in the end.]
As the black light faded, a group of archaeologists, along with the books scattered on the floor, vanished from the library hall in the blink of an eye.
Dimon then looked at Vegapunk, "You should go too, Doctor."
“Mr. Damon, we’ve known each other for many years. Actually, you’re kinder than I imagined.” Vegapunk smiled slightly. “I really have to trouble you this time.”
Kindness? Me? A demon?
Dimon smiled. "I will send you back to Wano Country. Once you get back, please get back to your research as soon as possible. As for your research ship, I will return it to you later. Well then, goodbye."
Another snap of the fingers.
The pentagram magic circle sent Vegapunk away.
Dimon stretched his neck, which had become stiff from sitting for so long, and stepped out of the library, using his Observation Haki to survey the situation on the coast.
Since Satan has descended to the mortal realm, it means that the other four members of the Five Elders, as well as the Knights of God, may also make an appearance.
But these people are not a cause for concern.
Will Im come?
With his hands in his pockets, Dimon strolled leisurely toward the shore. "Not coming? I'll just force Him to possess me, won't I?"
This might be a good opportunity!
Chapter 154 Satan Saint's "Ambition"
When Dimon returned to the shore, he saw Kaido beating up Satan Saint.
As the weakest of the Five Elders, [Ushioni]'s combat ability is not outstanding.
Sixteen years ago at God Valley, Dimon had fought with the other party and was brutally beaten up by him.
However, the Five Elders are not without their strengths.
Their regenerative abilities are exceptionally strong; even if they lose an arm or a leg, they can regenerate limbs in an instant.
In terms of regeneration speed, they are stronger than the immortals who have drunk the elixir of immortality.
If an immortal loses half of their body, the regeneration process will take a relatively long time.
But at that moment, Satan Saint had two spider legs bitten off by Kaido the Blue Dragon, but they recovered in the blink of an eye.
"Pah, this tastes awful!"
In mid-air, Kaido was chewing on Satan Saint's spider leg when his expression suddenly changed, and he spat out two severed limbs.
The severed limbs fell before Satan Saint, turning into two wisps of black smoke and dissipating.
In this short period of time, Satan, who had lost two spider legs, had already regenerated his limbs.
"Foolish fellow, my body contains potent poison... huh?"
Satan Saint's eyes twitched slightly as he looked towards a forest below Kaido.
A ten-year-old boy was sitting on a tree branch, staring at himself with amusement.
My Observation Haki didn't detect it...
Satan frowned. If he hadn't caught a glimpse of the other person out of the corner of his eye, he wouldn't have realized there was a third person present.
“Hey, Sashiberdana, the great spider, this is the third time we’ve met.”
Dimon chuckled and greeted him.
If you think about it carefully, they've only met twice. The first time was at God Valley, and the second time was when he invaded Pangaea and encountered him in the room where Lox was imprisoned underground in Pangaea.
This is the third time.
“There’s an old saying in my hometown: ‘Things don’t happen more than three times.’” Dimon sat cross-legged on a tree branch, relaxed. “Do you want to die here this third time we meet?”
Satan Saint spoke calmly: "Where are the scholars of Ohara?"
“I sent them away. Can you guess where I sent them?” Dimon’s lips curled up slightly. “Don’t say I broke my promise. You broke it first.”
"It doesn't matter. Those rats in the gutter can be crushed at any time. If they can't control their curiosity, their fate is already sealed."
Satan remained calm, seemingly in no hurry to act, but rather had a lot to say:
"I spent years analyzing the immortality elixir you brewed, but what I ultimately created did not have the power to make people immortal; it was simply a replication of the taste."
A pirated version of the Elixir of Immortality?
Dimon was surprised, remembering that this guy was a scientist, so it wouldn't be difficult to copy his elixir of immortality.
However, that wine was merely a disguise; the true nature of his immortality was the demonic power he bestowed upon others as a demon himself.
It can be wine, cake, or even plain water.
What's the use of simply replicating wine?
"To be able to replicate the taste of the Elixir of Immortality, I'll say you're quite impressive," Dimon praised.
Satan Saint snorted coldly, the sarcasm in his tone making him very unhappy.
But he couldn’t perfectly replicate the Elixir of Immortality; something must be missing.
He guessed that, besides Devil Fruits, there should be another ingredient in the brewing process.
"I came down to the mortal realm to see you in person because I want to invite you to become a Celestial Dragon." Saint Satan suppressed his displeasure. "Back in God Valley, the sincerity you showed was that you could have been offered 10 Devil Fruits."
He paused, then added, "With your combat abilities, you're more than qualified to be the leader of the Knights of God. Join the World Government, and you can have as many Devil Fruits as you want."
It sounds very sincere. If it were right after he transmigrated, Dimon might have seriously considered it.
Things are different now; his need for Devil Fruits isn't as urgent.
"The offer was very tempting, but I refused."
Dimon smiled slightly. "If it were about giving me your position, I might agree."
Upon hearing this, Satan's expression darkened.
There's no problem with promising the Celestial Dragons' positions, but the appointment of the Five Elders is decided by that person, and he doesn't have that authority.
As if sensing his thoughts, Dimon showed a surprised expression:
"You're not actually considering it, are you? Just kidding. How could I possibly become one of the Five Elders, having meetings in the same room every day? Wouldn't you guys get bored?"
He definitely couldn't stand it. It would be one thing if it were four beautiful women playing cards together, but with four other old men, there would be no fun at all.
Satan's eyes darkened; communicating with this bastard was enough to make one's liver ache with anger.
“You are not like Rocks; he attempted to overthrow the world.”
"As for you, judging from your actions over the years, you do not have such ambitions. Since you are unwilling to join the World Government, then we can cooperate."
"100 Devil Fruits in exchange for your recipe for the Elixir of Immortality!"
He paused for a moment, narrowing his eyes slightly: "Don't worry, even if I get the formula, I won't interfere with your trading of the Elixir of Immortality."
Dimon pondered silently to himself.
A person's behavior is always motivated by something.
Judging from the fact that Satan came to Ohara alone to find him, it may not necessarily be Im's idea, but rather his own.
If it is him, then what does he want to do?
The elixir of immortality is meaningless to the Five Elders, who are ageless and immortal.
The power bestowed upon them by Im has granted them such abilities, even surpassing the average undead in terms of regeneration speed.
To use it as a reward for the other Celestial Dragons? That's highly unlikely; most Celestial Dragons are just good-for-nothings who do nothing but loaf around and wait to die.
Used to cultivate promising subordinates? The Knights of God are all immortal.
Dimon tried to put himself in Satan's shoes and came to a very unexpected answer.
If it wasn't Im's idea, but rather Satan Saint's own thought...
"You want to memorize..."
Before the word "traitor" could be uttered, Satan Saint suddenly spat out a mouthful of venomous bullet.
Dimon raised his right index finger upwards.
Armament Haki formed an invisible shield in front of him, and a dozen venom bullets bombarded the shield, immediately causing an explosion.
