Chapter 31 I Surrender
Chapter 31 I Surrender
With a thud, the metal fell to the ground.
Chu Zihang abandoned Murasame, raised his arms, and said, "I surrender—"
Caesar stared in disbelief, as if he were witnessing the most absurd thing in the world.
"You're just giving up like that?"
Chu Zihang looked at Caesar and shook his head:
"You have no idea how terrifying Su An is. Fighting him is pointless. He is..."
"How can it be meaningless?"
Caesar slowly struggled to his feet, a flash of pain in his icy blue eyes.
He had already broken his bones from that fall, but he's been holding on until now.
"Su An, I..."
"Too much nonsense."
Bang bang bang!
Suan pulled the trigger, and Frigg's bullets rained down on Caesar.
Fearing it wasn't safe enough, he changed the magazine and continued to reload.
Bang bang bang bang!
The bullet whistled out of the chamber, piercing Caesar's chest, and a huge spray of blood erupted.
Cesare Gattuso, heir to the Gattuso family – died.
The campus suddenly fell silent. The sunlight shone on the smoke, giving it a beautiful golden hue, and Su An seemed to be standing in the morning mist.
The powerful march resounded throughout the campus, as if the long-silent campus broadcasting system had just woken up from a nap.
Su An tossed aside the pistol, leaned against the wall, and spoke to the empty air:
"Medical staff had better hurry. Caesar's injuries are quite serious; any delay in treatment and he'll be a cripple."
As soon as he finished speaking, the door of an unnamed building opened, and doctors and nurses rushed out, carrying briefcases with badges.
Su An watched quietly as the doctors took out syringes and injected the corpses, seemingly expecting this.
A small, old man with a shiny bald head, wearing thin, round, gold-rimmed glasses, covered his mouth and nose with a handkerchief, frowned, and sighed as he walked towards Su An.
As he passed the bullet-riddled walls, his sighs became even more poignant, suggesting that he didn't care how many people had died, but rather how much he was heartbroken by the losses.
He walked up to Su An, looked her up and down, and asked, "Judging from your attire, you're a freshman?"
Su An nodded.
"I am Professor Manstein from the Disciplinary Committee!"
The old man's face was full of disdain: "Go take a break! These days, students! They don't prioritize their studies when they enter school, but instead participate in this kind of boring game! Is it fun? Is it fun?"
He got angry again as he spoke, pointing to the cratered granite surfaces of the buildings, "This is all money, all money! These rich kids don't care at all..."
He suddenly stopped speechlessly, because he saw Caesar on the ground.
Caesar was unconscious and lying face down on the ground, his buttocks splattered with blood from Friga's bullets—if elegance was in the Arctic, then the unconscious Caesar with his buttocks sticking out was definitely in the Antarctic.
"Frost is going to go crazy again," Manstein muttered.
"What?" Su An asked in confusion.
"It's nothing, kid," Manstein finally began to look at the S-class freshman in front of him again.
"I've read the whole thing, and putting the budget aside, I must sincerely admit you're a genius. As for the budget and all that, leave it to Frost; he has plenty of money."
As Manstein spoke, he took out a World Tree emblem.
"This is a reward for this year's Freedom Day."
Su An took the emblem with a puzzled look on his face. It was smooth and cool to the touch, and its mystery was truly unfathomable.
"What is this?" Su An asked at just the right moment.
"This is the Equipment Department's pass," Professor Manstein said, pointing to the emblem on Su An's hand. "The principal commissioned them to make an alchemical item as a reward for the winner of the day of freedom. You can use this mark to retrieve this alchemical item."
"What's in there?"
"I don't know, but I advise you to stay away from those lunatics in the equipment department."
Su An raised his eyebrows at just the right moment; everyone was saying that, which made him even more curious.
"I'll pick it up when I have time."
Just as Su An was about to turn and leave, Professor Manstein suddenly called him back again.
"Oh, right, there's one more thing."
"What?"
"The Norton House belongs to every winner of a day of freedom, and this year's Norton House is yours."
An access card was tossed into Su An's hand.
"A luxury apartment? Okay."
Just as Su An was about to turn and leave, Manstein called him back again.
Just as Su An was about to complain about Professor Manstein's slow, breathy speech, the reminiscence and sorrow in Manstein's eyes made him shut his mouth.
"Slaying dragons is dangerous, and every genius is precious."
Su An, you must live well.
Su paused for a moment, then said softly:
"Don't worry, Professor Manstein, I have always acted with caution and prudence."
"Is it a prudent approach...?"
Chu Zihang's lips twitched as he listened, the screams of Odin being brutally beaten echoing in his ears once more.

The Night Watchers discussion forum exploded today.
Hundreds of posts were being refreshed rapidly, and there was no sign of it stopping.
These posts all share the same theme—"The New S-Rank Student in the Academy"
In particular, a photo of Suan drawing his gun and shooting Caesar was highlighted.
In the scene, Su An points a pistol at Caesar with a fierce look in his eyes, while Caesar is curled up due to his broken bones, and his eyes look particularly weak as he looks at Su An.
Almost everyone who participated in a day of freedom was thrilled after seeing this picture.
The discussion forum was bustling with activity, with teachers and students engaged in lively discussions.
"Why does Gattuso's heir look so disheveled in the photo? Isn't he supposed to be an Italian nobleman?"
"Caesar was a dark horse; as a freshman, he led the other freshmen to defeat all the upperclassmen, and even cut down many A-level students. Unfortunately, the dark horse met a monster."
"At the scene, Caesar used every trick in the book, but he couldn't defeat Suan's single big stick!"
"A big stick? What big stick? Is it the big stick I'm imagining?"
"It's not the big stick you're thinking of! It's a rocket launcher from the equipment department—"
"Isn't that thing for carrying rockets? How can it be used as a melee weapon?"
"It sounds outrageous, but it's normal if it's from the equipment department."
"This S-rank is the one that's outrageous! He's a monster!"
"I heard there's another freshman who's really tough, named Chu Zihang. Didn't he single-handedly take down a lot of upperclassmen? How's he doing?"
"Oh, don't even mention it, he surrendered too!"
"What? Isn't he a master swordsman?"
"The moment he saw Su An, he immediately put the knife down."
"To be precise, it was abandoned."
"What a monster."

Kassel College, Norton Building, Bathtub Area.
"I have to thank you, otherwise I, a mere academic mule, would never have been able to enter Norton Hall in my entire life. Thank you, Su An."
Fingel, soaking in a bathtub filled with rose petals, stretched out halfway to operate the computer's online forum while sighing to Su An, who was also staring at the computer beside him.
Su An had no time to worry about anything else at the moment, staring at the picture of "Su An drawing his gun and shooting Caesar" with a slight headache.
"Who took this picture?"
Fingel proudly puffed out his chest, "Of course, it's the talented people in our news department."
"They may not be able to get deep into the battlefield, but they can use robot dogs to assist in reconnaissance."
Su An was once again amazed by humanity's passion for gossip.
Suddenly, a post popped up on the Night Watchers forum, and it was rising at an incredible speed. The title of the post was a direct copy of the shocking news from UC across the ocean.
"Shocking! An S-class student might not have dragon blood! What secret do those strange blue eyes hold?"
