Chapter 93. Subduing the Strange Giant Serpent: Giving Asgard a Shock
"Those are the Celestials? And what about that giant serpent?" Odin asked solemnly, sensing a power far exceeding his own emanating from these two incredibly massive beings.
“No, that’s not a Celestial.” A brilliant magical light flashed in Frigga’s eyes. “That was a true god, a cosmic deity who represents hope, justice, light, love—and all positive emotions.”
"As for that snake," Frigga said, her eyes glazing over as if searching for information in her memory.
"That snake appeared in the records of the ancient gods, and its origin is no longer known. All we know is that it existed in the deep dimensions before the ancient gods were born."
"There is only one legend among the ancient gods. The legend says that when an irresistible catastrophe occurs in the universe, a giant serpent representing rebirth and destruction will devour everything, then re-give birth to the universe, and everything will return to the origin and start anew, entering a new cycle."
Odin's expression changed, and he felt an inexplicable pressure weighing on his heart: "So that means that this giant serpent is not actually a world-destroying entity, but rather a mechanism to restart the universe under some kind of great catastrophe."
And this silver giant is a pure cosmic deity representing good, so why did the two of them fight?
Frigga's expression also changed. Right, why would these two unrelated people fight?
Odin sighed. Regardless of the reason for the fighting, all he had to do now was protect his people and take preventative measures.
The roar of the King of Gods echoed throughout Asgard: "All citizens of Asgard, assemble immediately at the royal palace!"
At a command, thousands of Asgardian warriors clad in golden armor surged forth, flying in all directions of Asgard to carry out the mission of gathering their people.
The royal palace has the strongest protective force; if those two gods were to appear in Asgard, they would not be without any power to fight back.
Odin, on the other hand, instantly appeared in the Asgardian dungeons.
In a cell, Thor, who had committed numerous crimes including recklessness, belligerence, arrogance, disobedience, and defiance of the king, was imprisoned. He leaned against the wall, seemingly still sulking.
"Thor." A familiar and majestic voice rang out, and Odin appeared outside the cell.
"Father!" Thor exclaimed in surprise, pressing himself against the edge of the cell and looking expectantly at Odin.
Odin ignored the expectant look in Thor's eyes and said sternly, "Thor, my child, have you ever reflected on your mistakes?"
"Huh?" Thor's mouth dropped open. "I—"
"Enough!" Odin interrupted Thor before he could finish speaking, and with just one glance he could see that this good-for-nothing heir hadn't changed at all.
With a buzzing sound, Mjolnir appeared out of thin air in Odin's hand. Amidst Thor's shocked, bewildered, and even despairing gaze, Odin roared in fury:
"In the name of me, the Father of the Gods, in the name of Odin, I take back everything from you and banish you!"
A dazzling orange light shone forth, banishing Thor, who had lost all his divine power, to Midgard.
Then Odin raised Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, and placed it to his lips: "Whoever can lift this hammer, whoever is worthy of it,
He will gain the power of Thor!
A flash of light, and Thor's hammer descended upon Midgard along with Thor.
After doing all this, Odin went to the palace.
In the hall, Odin looked at the assembled Asgardian people, a resolute glint in his eyes, and the towering Destroyer armor appeared beside the throne.
Although he now enters a weakened dormant state after using his armor, there are some things that must be done, even if there is a price to pay, for the sake of his people.
"May Thor grow up quickly." With this hope in his heart, Odin closed his eyes.
A complex emotion flashed in Loki's eyes as he stood to the side. The super being that had suddenly appeared high in the sky had disrupted his plans.
On the other side, the wingless Noah felt a sense of freedom and exhilaration. It was so satisfying to unleash his skills without restraint. That's why they say Ultra Warriors are awesome – the battles are exhilarating!
After this barrage of skills, he had figured out some of the snake's characteristics.
Attacking this snake is essentially no different from attacking the void of space. It allows one to homogenize one's own energy with that of the attacker, becoming part of that energy, as if one has transformed into space itself.
Furthermore, it can be used in reverse, or even amplified before being released, giving the feeling of using the opponent's own methods against them.
However, he was unable to use the power of the wingless Noah in return.
As for the reason, it's because each of Noah's skills possesses a strong sense of self-will, that is, the power of the mind.
This snake cannot be used.
This leads to the conclusion that the snake's current weakness is that it is restrained by a force capable of altering reality.
Since that's the case, Noah the Wingless isn't going to waste any more time with him. He'll just subdue him and find out the secret.
With his hands placed on the energy indicator lights in front of his chest, a beam of red light shot out, enveloping the entire dimensional space, naturally rendering the young snakes within unable to move.
A huge Ultraman's Wish Ring appeared on his finger.
The ring flashed with a faint light, and a series of negative states constructed by the power of idealism—weakness, hunger, pain, sensory deprivation, and weakened will—were bestowed upon the young snake.
Just a second later, the young snake sent out a fierce message: "I—I surrender. You're the boss, let me go."
This really caught Ji Yuan off guard. He never expected him to admit defeat so quickly. He should put up a fight.
Then, the wingless Noah put away the ring and removed the negative effect on the baby snake.
The young snake rubbed against my thigh affectionately for a few moments, sending out a wave of mental energy.
"Alright then." Noah, the wingless one, nodded and replied telepathically.
Then, the young snake's body shrank instantly, and through this transmission of consciousness, it instantly appeared in Ji Yuan's consciousness space, far away in Hell's Kitchen.
If you can't beat yourself in the outside world, then you can't beat yourself in your own consciousness space. In your own consciousness space, Ultraman is absolutely invincible.
Ignoring the strange request of the bizarre serpent, Ji Yuan once again turned his consciousness back to that strange, deep dimension.
The moment the young snake gained consciousness, it fully perceived everything in the entire dimension and naturally discovered that the barrier between the surface and the depths had become fragile.
So they quickly began repairs to prevent a disaster, and at the same time, they naturally saw the phantom of Asgard on the other side through this barrier.
"Did Asgard see the fight just now?"
With that thought in mind, Ji Yuan quickly accelerated the repair of the dimension. Once the repair was complete, he immediately projected his consciousness into Asgard.
As expected, all the people of Asgard hid in the palace and within the magical barrier, while Odin sat on the throne holding Gungnir, with the Destroyer armor beside him, clearly in a state of ultimate combat readiness.
"Wouldn't this lead to misunderstandings?"
While pondering a solution, Ji Yuan was also observing the entirety of Asgard.
"How about we grant a blessing, to gain some positive emotions?"
The more Ji Yuan thought about it, the more feasible it seemed.
Countless forces surged into his consciousness, transforming him once again into the wingless Noah. His figure appeared in Asgard, this time not as a scene in the sky, but as a real phantom, incredibly vast, larger than a foot of the entire Asgard.
Silvery-white light filled the entire Asgard.
Odin stared in disbelief at the being his wife called a cosmic god. He had only sensed a partial view through the dimensional phantom; when the being actually appeared before him, he realized just how immense the sense of powerlessness was.
Odin placed his hand on the Destroyer armor. In any case, he could not place the lives of his people on the shoulders of a so-called god of positive emotions. Even the god of life had times when he slaughtered.
"Odin, don't worry, I can feel his goodwill," Frigga said, placing her hand on Odin's shoulder.
As a Vanir god, he had a broader perspective on nature than Odin.
Everyone in Asgard looked at that incredibly majestic being. Despite the overwhelming size of his body, they felt no pressure, but rather a gentle warmth, like the caress of sunlight.
A moment later, the silver giant vanished as particles of light.
Odin sighed deeply, a look of relief spreading across his face, before his expression instantly turned incredulous.
His body, which couldn't keep up with the natural growth of cosmic energy, miraculously caught up with the intensity of cosmic energy under the illumination of that beam of light.
"I've never heard of such a cosmic deity before. If that's the case, Thor doesn't seem to need to inherit the throne." Odin gazed at the sky, his eyes swirling with thoughts.
