Chapter 253 There's Only One Truth (Part 1)

Late at night, Hogwarts was quiet, seemingly just an ordinary day in November. However, in the Headmaster's office, the atmosphere was unusually tense.

Peterson Hamilton, the Muggle Studies professor at Hogwarts, sat in his chair, glaring fiercely at the black-haired, purple-eyed Defense Against the Dark Arts professor in front of him.

Beside him stood a professor of magic arrays, with silver hair and blue eyes, who was not wearing a mask or hat. She was standing there blankly, looking completely lost.

Among them, the only one who seemed to have no worries, with a calm expression, was the headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, this is what happened."

Peterson coughed and said, "So there's no doubt that this guy in front of us wanted to kill my cousin!"

As he spoke, he pointed at Shiloh and adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses.

Hilo, whom he was pointing at, sneered. Her purple eyes showed no fear. She shrugged calmly and said, "Whether you believe it or not, this has nothing to do with me."

"I currently have no plans to take action against Miss Loila Hamilton."

"The witnesses are right here, are you still going to deny it?" Peterson couldn't help but say. "Isn't François Rozier your cousin?"

"Is there any necessary connection between him being my cousin and whether he's acting on my orders?" Hilo scoffed. "Are you and your cousin both Death Eaters who deserve to go to Azkaban?"

"Nonsense!" Peterson said, pursing his lips. "Don't bring other things into this."

"We're discussing your plan to murder your cousin."

"I'll say it again, this has nothing to do with me," Shilo said coldly. "Do you think a murderer would walk right into a trap?"

"Don't forget, I didn't run away; I went back to Hogwarts," Shiloh said, raising an eyebrow.

J

I don't recall your cousin ever obediently walking into Azkaban—"

Seeing Peterson's grim face, Shiloh snorted and then glanced at the three Rozier members who were still unconscious.

These three pigs—it's hard to believe they share the same name as me—I told them not to cause any trouble, that I was going to talk to Hamilton first—but they actually chose to do it themselves.

I could have done it myself—but I still got caught—and they didn't even tell me beforehand!

Shiloh was at a loss for words. She had been waiting in Hogsmeade from noon until night but had not seen Loila Hamilton. She thought she had misremembered the time and returned to Hogwarts.

Almost as soon as she stepped into the office, Dumbledore's house-elf arrived.

"Damn it!" Shiloh frowned as she looked at the three people in the office.

Without a doubt, none of them were on his side—Peterson Hamilton, for some reason, harbored immense hostility towards him—

Albus Dumbledore—he must have suspected me long ago—and may even have known about my UMNO affiliation, though he had no evidence.

Finally, there's Loy Hamilton—hoping she, who was almost killed, would help him—he must have been infected by that idiot François.

Then he could only rely on himself to defend himself. Unexpectedly, Dumbledore's hypocritical uprightness actually worked at this moment. Hero looked at his indifferent expression, as if he were watching a show, and pursed his lips.

To fight to the death when all three want her to confess—Shiro has faced even worse situations before—except that back then she was holding a wand and facing three dark wizards who wanted to kill her.

"Professor Rozier, may I ask you—what did you do today?" Dumbledore coughed and asked, noticing the group had fallen silent.

"No one saw you at Hogwarts today."

Peterson sneered after hearing this: "As expected, you were probably planning to ambush my cousin too, weren't you?"

"Your last name is Rozier too?" Shiloh glanced at Peterson and said, "If I remember correctly, your last name is Hamilton, isn't it?"

"I think Headmaster Dumbledore was asking me, not you." She closed her eyes briefly, thought for a couple of seconds, and then slowly said, "I've been at Hogsmeade the whole time."

"Can anyone vouch for this?" Dumbledore asked after a pause.

"Ms. Rosmerta, the owner of the Three Brooms, can vouch for me for ordering a Butterbeer there," Shiloh said slowly.

"You've been sitting there all day by yourself?" Peterson couldn't help but say. "Don't treat us like fools."

"When did I say I stayed with the Three Broomsticks the whole time?" Shiloh retorted. "After I finished my Butterbeer, I went to the hill behind Hogsmeade, where there's a big oak tree, and I've been staying there ever since."

"Professor Rozier, what are you doing there?" Dumbledore blinked.

Oh----

Shiloh looked at his expression and sneered. This was undoubtedly Dumbledore's trap—they must know why Miss Hamilton went to Hogsmeade and why he was standing under the big oak tree.

Because that was the meeting place he and Miss Hamilton had agreed to meet.

"I arranged to meet Miss Hamilton there," Shiloh said frankly, knowing that lying about such things would put her in a disadvantageous position.

"Yes, it's because of your arrangement that my cousin went to Hogsmeade and was ambushed!" Peterson said with certainty, "This was all a conspiracy you planned in advance."

"You say this was all planned in advance? Do you have any proof?" Heero's purple eyes glared at Peterson. "And let me repeat, if I really wanted to kill Miss Hamilton, why would I go back to Hogwarts?"

"Perhaps you're just putting on a facade," Peterson said, pursing his lips. "And how do you explain François and the others appearing in Hogsmeade as members of your Rozier family?"

"You can't possibly say you know absolutely nothing, can you?"

This guy wasn't stupid after all—he knew that as long as he kept focusing on the name Rozier, he wouldn't be able to explain himself clearly—he needed to subtly change the subject—or make things a little more complicated—

After a few seconds of silence, Shiloh said, "Of course I've met them."

"But I don't know what they're here for?"

"They said they were just coming to visit me." She paused, then continued, "And if they really wanted to kill Miss Loila Hamilton, why were only the three of them involved, and not me?"

"Maybe you're just trying to shirk responsibility," Peterson said uncertainly.

"That doesn't make sense, does it?" Shiloh retorted, frowning. "If my goal was to kill Miss Loila Hamilton, why didn't I do it?"

"I wasn't even there watching."

"After all, if I saw the operation fail, how could I possibly return to Hogwarts?" Heero said, looking at Dumbledore. "Or am I confident I can escape from Headmaster Dumbledore?"
