Chapter 1217: Insane Jealousy

Donna paused, then her voice changed abruptly as she frowned and asked, "A meeting? Who is Kaifeng meeting with?"

“Miss Donna, this is probably not within your jurisdiction.”

With a cold snort, Donna said imperiously, "What do you mean it's outside my jurisdiction? I'm your boss's fiancée. Can't I show some concern for my future husband?"

Andy snorted inwardly, thinking, "You're just a fiancée. Whether you can end up with the boss is still unknown. What's there to be so smug about!"

On the surface, Andy appeared very professional, saying, "I understand your position very well, but I'm just an assistant and can't make decisions for the boss. Everything has to be done according to procedure. Please leave a message, and I will pass it on to the boss."

Donna's words made Zhang Kaifeng chuckle. That chuckle contained disdain and mockery, as if Donna had brought up a very funny topic.

And it was this smile that completely shattered Donna's last line of defense.

Tears streamed down Donna's cheeks as she turned and ran out, looking utterly heartbroken.

Zhang Kaifeng showed no intention of chasing after him and turned to go back to his room.

Andy, however, considerately asked, "Boss, should I go see Miss Donna off?"

"No need. Since she was able to take a taxi here by herself, she can go back by herself!"

Seeing Zhang Kaifeng say this, Andy shrugged. Anyway, he was just asking and didn't really care where the woman was going.

The first thing Donna did upon returning to her apartment was to take out her phone and call her brother to bring her back. She'd had enough of this humiliation.
